Good.

What the Representative said about gambling is technically true.  If there is no lottery allowed, and gambling is likely to only take place in casinos - which are way out of the way.  However, that seems like common sense, because some people will play lotto games IF THEY CAN and won't if they can't.

Also I'd like to make the point that you generally go to a Casino with a lot more money than you go to spend on lotto tickets....  and the profit can be seen as going to something "good" (so long as the government taking the money is allocating it to schools, seniors, veterans, etc.) rather than a Casino.

I'd have to call it a good move.  It's really just going to be MSLU games, (at least at first) so it's just meant to capture the audience that's going out of state and the audience that would buy them if they could.

Although personally, I like Pick 3, so I'd rather have that than any MSLU game.

Republican Rep. Bob Brechtel of Casper said he was concerned that lottery sales could lead to increased gambling. He said approving the sales would be like letting a camel get its nose under the edge of a tent.

Lord, open up your eye's and look around. Has it increased gambling in any other state? Not anymore than normal..!  The loss revenue that they're losing to other states could very well pay this morons salary..!

I'd point out that it probably would lead to more gambling....  that's "the point" ... lol.  It probably wouldn't lead to more problem gambling, though.

It's kind of like saying "the problem with the water filteration system is that it's making water cleaner."  Except that we want clean water, and apparently this guy doesn't want people gambling.

Lawmakers are frigging idiots. If people want to gamble, they're gonna gamble regardless of the law. People in Wyoming already drive south into Colorado to buy their tickets. This can only help the state of Wyoming.

Bob what do you think the Goverment does with our Tax dollars so what is the differents.
