Powerball player is also double-lucky
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Only twice in the history of the Missouri Lottery has a player won two prizes of $1 million or more. A Bonne Terre man won on two Scratchers tickets in 2010, and now a southwest Missouri man has won two multi-million dollar Scratchers prizes in 2011.
Roger Hirshey, 66, claimed a $2 million top prize on a "Mega MONOPOLY" ticket on Dec. 19. The Carthage resident bought the winning ticket at Casey's General Store, 8084 E. Seventh St., in Duenweg.
This is the second large prize this year for Hirshey. He claimed a $3 million top prize on a Missouri Lottery "$3,000,000 Taxes Paid" Scratchers ticket in October.
"Players win large prizes playing Scratchers all the time, but for a player to win two prizes worth millions is amazing," said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. "It was exciting the first time it happened, and we are elated for this recent winner. It proves lightning can strike twice."
Ernest Pullen of Bonne Terre won prizes of $1 million and $2 million in 2010. One of Pullen's wins also came on a "Mega MONOPOLY" ticket.
"Mega MONOPOLY" is a $10 game that officially began Aug. 29, 2009. The game features a top prize of $2 million. This is the fifth top prize to be claimed in the game; only one remains. Players can track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at Molottery.com.
Hirshey is the 63rd player to win $1 million or more instantly and the 329th Missouri-made millionaire. Of course, he now holds two spots in those statistics.
Lucky Powerball player
Hirshey is not the only double-lucky Missouri Lottery player in 2011.
A Kansas City woman is now the envy of a lot of people's fantasies, as she won a second-level Powerball prize of $200,000, not once, but twice, in 2011.
To add to the luck and the irony, 62-year-old Constance Super bought both winning tickets at the same place — QuikTrip, 1251 N.W. Barry Road, in Kansas City.
What's her secret to success? According to Super, the only secret is "a lot of luck." The postal worker used Quick Pick and matched all five white-ball numbers in the Dec. 17 and April 16 drawings — winning her a $200,000 paycheck after each win.
Powerball is a multi-lottery game that features jackpots starting at $20 million. Super's ticket was the 191st second-level winning Powerball ticket sold in Missouri.

Well congratulations to him he is smart one thing about it once you win the lottery one time you can win again. My aunt won $5million in Ny in 2009 and then she won again in 2010 $100K she said their is a system for the scratch off tickets in which she revealed it to me. It works for all the states especially the staes that offer alot of winning tickets in their states. I will be winning b/4 2012 and twice in 2012.
