The saga continues.....

Bogle says it will likely take “several…days” of face-to-face meetings with a New York attorney and others to get all the questions answered about a winning “Hot Lotto” ticket.  ....  The ticket was sent via FedEx to a Des Moines law firm and turned in at Iowa Lottery headquarters just hours before the deadline.......   . The NY attorney had indicated he’d fly into Des Moines this week, but lottery officials say attorney Crawford Shaw’s travel schedule would have allowed him to spend just one or two hours in Des Moines.

Bogle is a piece of work - held a press conference that lasted over 30 minutes.  He wants Shaw to bring in the ticket owner so he can personally cross-examine question him/her.   He wants answers to what he calls some of the "fun facts" like why the ticket was FedEx to lottery HQs instead of hand-delivered - especially so close to expiration deadline.  That does sound like a stupid move to make - especially by a law firm - ticket could have soooo easily been lost.  There are special courier services here in NJ whose only clients are lawyers who need important documents hand delivered to court, etc.  This FedEx delivery makes no sense to me.

Had to refresh my memory on that story, RJOH - happened back in 2001 - after he found the ticket (worth $46 million) in his junk drawer - he went to work with the ticket in his back pocket all day - after work he went to the store, had it validated and dropped ticket with claim form in a regular mailbox.  Now that was just a regular guy who was obviously very, very lucky - can you imagine what would have happened if FedEx lost that Ohio ticket?!

Post Office will get your ticket to the right box everytime...Not to worry....The older the mail person the better the service...EEEEEEEHHHH HAAAAAAAWWWW!!!..
