Berg has been named director of the Ohio Lottery, Gov. John Kasich announced on Friday. Berg had been the lottery's interim director since Jan. 10, 2011, appointed to that role just days after Kasich took office. Berg formerly served as the lottery's deputy director of finance and has worked for the state agency since 1991. The lottery has had 10 straight years of sales growth, posting a record $2.6 billion in sales in fiscal 2011. And the agency could be on tap for more. The Ohio legislature is currently considering a bill that would legalize slot machines at the state's seven horse racing tracks. The slots would be controlled by the lottery. Lottery run slots don't sound like a bad idea to me. I'd feel more confident in the uniformity of return factor than I would in casinos where I've heard they adjust the rate of return differently on various machines based on their location and such. It would be nice to know you had the same chances of winning on any machine you pick. Course if they ever had them in TN, I'd just go play the ones closest to the Government Center in Nashville. . I will not comply. I will never submit.

yes the lottery running the slots is the best way for more fairity I would think... A day without the presence of God, is a wasteful day.

WVA's Lottery and Horse Racing Association put slot machines in their race tracks many years ago. Today they are full service casinos and the Lottery and the horse people still share the profits. WVA's Lottery and Horse Racing Association put slot machines in their race tracks many years ago. Today they are full service casinos and the Lottery and the horse people still share the profits. And PA did something similar. Someone must have told the Ohio Legislators about all the Ohio license plates in the WVA and PA casino parking lots. Oh yeah, you better believe they keep tabs on all that stuff. I remember when we had a democrat Governor in TN and he jacked up the taxes on cigarettes so high everybody was going out of state for cigarettes. Well he sent unmarked TN State Troopers to sit in the parking lots of Virginia stores on the border to see if anybody with TN tags was coming out with more than a carton of cigarettes and if they were, they'd radio ahead and they'd be pulled over and ticketed for tax violations and cigarette smuggling or something when they crossed back into TN. There was such an uproar though he had to call it off. . I will not comply. I will never submit.

Baa-Baa/// sheeples.. nahhhhh..but a goverment agency is more likely to uphold the standards better then private compaines who look ways to get more profit from the machines. A day without the presence of God, is a wasteful day.
