Lottery changed my life on TLC... Terry & Shanon Hamilton won 9 million in the Oregon megabucks lottery. 4/7/10 They were able to split the money, part cash and part annuity..$2,250,000 cash and $180,000 a year for the annuity... Good luck Friday They claimed it as a couple--2 people.. one took cv and the other took annuity I wish I may, I wish I might... Win the Powerball jackpot Saturday night!!!

They claimed it as a couple--2 people.. one took cv and the other took annuity I believe they set the annuity up to be assumed by their daughter when she reaches a certain age. At the time, rates may have favored that, but right now a person should really take the cash option because of the unbelievable payout amount (thanks to crappy economic numbers affecting rates) and uncertainty over future tax rates. Then, if desired an annuity can be established outside of the lottery.

I went into one of my lottery places and had to wait for somebody to have his $100 worth of tickets printed. Then he said that he would be back Friday to do it again........ When I ran a pool and bought a big number of tickets I would manually pick all the powerball/meg ball numbers 1-the max. That way I was guarranteed to have at least one winner. So far I have bought 10 tickets $1 at 10 different stores. Gas stations grocery stores so far not a liquor store. Bought tickets in the western suburbs, northern part of town SW, SE, NE NW and downtown. I have the right hard luck story fir da press. I even found the place to buy. Jackpot ranch. $10,395,000.00 Legacy Ranch in Wyoming Black Hills, consisting of 6300 deeded acres, 320 State of WY lease, and 280 BLM acres. The property has a year round stream running through the core of the ranch, pipeline water system, springs and reservoirs. Approximately 900 irrigated acres. Incredible wildlife. http://www.pfisterlandco.com/node/306 Looks perfect, only problem I have to get the Mineral Rights. I have to "negociate" rights. No rights no buy. I have to have 100% rights, no covenents, no deed restrictions. 6,300 acres ought to keep the beggars away.

Another is to hire security for $200,000 for a year, while things cool down.

A secluded $10M ranch so a person can be isolated is one option. Another is to hire security for $200,000 for a year, while things cool down. $200,000 will cover security 24/7 for about half a year. That is actually cheap. There are some firms that charge $100-$200 per hour.

More than I was thinking, but still a bit cheaper than $10M to be on an virtual deserted island that you will still probably need to hire security for, only now a lot more of it.

Curious, but is anyone else having problems loading Lottery Post at times? Chrome has been freezing up and killing pages, probably from all the traffic and the frequent updates, but hmm, I've never had this problem with any other site. I thought I was the only one, thinking my computer was messed up. It's better now that I restarted my computer, much faster than this morning.

Oh, please! I'm taking the lump sum, which most winners do anyway. Cut the check and let me be on my merry way. I wonder where we're going to go for dinner? I never paid attention to the lottery growing up and the only big prize I knew about was Publishers Clearing House and I knew they gave the $10 million prize in yearly payments. First time I heard of people ending up broke after winning the lottery was when they took the lump sum. Not saying the lump sum is a bad idea and I don't know when they started or have winners always had the option of lump sum? When did the lump start?
