Apparently, the MD winner came forward today and will have a press conference tomorrow. I'm surprised to hear their not claiming anonymously... I'll be SHOCKED if it's the McD's manager. We'll see tomorrow I guess. EDIT: Whoops! I didn't see that Todd had already posted the same info. Went straight from CNN to posting here.

True, though it's hard to imagine why the winner would agree to a press conference. Most MD winners do chose to remain anonymous. Shame on me, but I am looking forward to the follow-up where Wilson explains what happened to her " winning ticket." EDIT: The MD winner actually is staying anonymous, but the MD lottery will be sharing the person's "storyline," whatever that means. Okay, enough with the google searching. I won't find out anything until tomorrow haha.

The MD LOTTERY is holding the press conference, NOT The Claimant. Big difference when you read the entire story. The MCD' employee hired a lawyer.....if you didnt win...why hire an attorney? Hmmm...... ________________________________ Into the peace and light went my beloved Mother....12/4/2012. Our sorrow is great yet our love remains greater.

Hmmm...... Whoever the mystery person is who claimed a share of the largest-ever lottery prize on Monday, he or she wants to stay quiet about it. Maryland's lottery, however, has a flair for the dramatic, and promises to share the winner's "storyline," if not name, at a press conference on Tuesday. The delay in coming forward allowed Baltimore's Mirlande Wilson to tell everyone she won, then ride the headlines for a whole week before doubt overshadowed her claim that she won but lost her ticket. From what I've read, the person will remain anonymous. The only way it could be the McDonalds Manager is if she decided to SHARE. Outside of that, the investigation would still be underway should she had taken the option to claim as an individual "Freedom of Speech? I already drive old cars and purchase clothes from the clearance rack at the department store! I can live a very normal upscale life, in a very normal upscale neighborhood! I want to get away from the trash burning and outdoor coal furnace. I have COPD! I don't want to hear the neighbor's backhoe beeping everyday ............ I play so that I might get away from these "normal" people !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry DP - I didnt know that the backhoe's beep carried that far...

If it turns out the winning ticket had a single line and they said all their pool tickets had 5 lines then it's not theirs regardless of who turns it in. They will still be mad if she quits her job and leave the neighborhood regardless. * The fundamentals of winning a lottery jackpot * * play a lottery you can win *

Agreed! Back to making quarter pounders ... if she still has a McJob. In neo-conned Amerika, bank robs you. Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be the name of a convenience store, not a govnoment agency.

If it's her and the lottery commission was satisfied with her claim (in what I would call record time) particularly given the dozens of lies, half truths and contradictions then she has a <snip> good attorney!!!! Yes Nikki...there are things in life that you can't change/improve and those 2 taxpayers are part of that equation. Focusing on the negative and being nebbish in life has a way of producing a non-positive out look........Glad you and I don't share that point of view.......Stay positive and lets win a jackpot !!! Good luck on the next drawing I am positive in real life, but not overly delusional like you two. That is what actually leads to disappointment and ultimately negativity. Your hyprocritical posts prove that well. Keep dreaming and bashing others with "negative" comments, and failing to see your own hypocrisy. It is all part of being dilusional "sadly"but entertaining to me.
