I think the couple thought they were still living in 60's where It would have been ok to tell people they won that much. nowadays you can't even tell people you won 5 dollars

That little fact was never shared only that he was known to play and win the 3 and 4 ball games regularly. I imagine if it were the state lottery or a multi state lottery game this would be a much larger story and they would have specified which jackpot.

So were probably not talking about some huge sum of money here. All the more reason, this double homicide was such a tragedy.

Probably the killer(s) were jacked up on some crack cocaine, to have followed through on this insane act over relative small potatoes.
