Perfect set of odd-numbered results drawn

If you woke up this morning and discovered you were a Florida Fantasy 5 winner, you have plenty of company.

There were 98 players last night who picked the pedestrian numbers of 1-3-5-7-9, so they'll all share from the Fantasy 5 pool.  Their take?  $1,995.32 each.

The Florida Lottery's Shelly Safford notes that of the 98 winners, only one was a quick pick.

"Obviously, a lot of players pick those numbers," she said.

Nobody has exact stats, but general belief is that because so many players pick birthdays and anniversaries, the numbers 1 through 31 are played more frequently.  So any jackpot with all the numbers 31 and lower is often shared, she notes.

Safford figures 1-3-5-7-9 is also just a quick way to get a ticket, and that some players have been choosing them for years.  It's likely the second-most picked sequence, behind 1-2-3-4-5, which has never hit, she notes.

Tuesday night's Fantasy 5 is actually not the highest number of winners ever in Florida's Fantasy 5 game.  However, it is the highest in the current version of Fantasy 5.  Safford said that in the early versions of the game — the lottery started in 1989 — players had to select five of only 26 numbers.  That easier version of the game produced more than 100 top prize winners nine times.

In July 2001 it became five of 36.  In that version of the game, the most winners had been 47 and they each won a little over $4,500.

Fantasy 5 payouts usually range from about $50,000 when there are a few winners to $250,000 if there is a single winner statewide.

does this count as a jackpot win? What?

If you win 10 of 'these', you could qualify as a '10' time winner Idea

See thats what I'm talking about, every state should have some kind of system in play so many can win. It's not as much as large one but,but the odds are so much better,I dont play in Tennessee but I will play a Raffle.

I bet if there was a game to play each week in your state that will give (say)100   $5000.00  prizes ,Friday night game.People would jump all over it and it would be the best game and the most in revenue...I know I would play it more than any game out there. And if there were such a game to come out in Georgia or Kentucky count me in.

You show Dayton, Ohio as your location and Ohio has pick3=$500, pick4=$5000, pick5=$50,000, Rolling Cash5=$100,000, Classic Lotto=$1,000,000 along with MM and PB so what don't they have you would like to play?

With 1-3-5-7-9 being the second most played combination to 1-2-3-4-5, I'm guessing 2-4-6-8-10 can't be far behind.

I would never play Mass Cash (5/35) with such a simple combination. It seems simple, no?

Imagine how high the people who checked their Fantasy 5 tickets felt before they went to bed

knowing they have won over 100 thou then waking up and being told sorry sir, you get $1,995.32.

I know, its still better than winning nothing but that gotta hurt.
