Your right Stack, I should not have used the quote from MSN, They clearly have a liberal bias, so it would be them that changed the meaning, but yes, he is correct, many have the entitlement mentality, Romney /Ryan are not raising taxes on SS, THEY are NOT going to stick it to those on SS to pay down the debt, They are not lowering taxes on Millionaires, they will lower taxes on small business and the middleclass, so they can hire more people, thus, creating new tax payers to help pay down the debt. With the middle class having a tax break, they will have more money to spend on goods and services, thus helping the sagging economy. They will open the government land for natural gas, coal, oil, so that our utility bills will be lower, we are currently being gouged by the government to to push the solar agenda, which was an epic failure, the people running those companies became millionaires all the while these companies went bankrupt. Oh and they were obama supporters who channeled some of the tax payer money right back into his campaign fund, wow! what a coincidence. The 14 percent, thats on investment income, not earned income, or didn't you think I knew anything about how investment works? If I sell my stocks at a profit, I pay 14 percent in taxes, I already paid taxes on that money as earned income the first time around. If I sell my stock at a loss, I can only claim up to 3000 in write offs, and thats across the board for everyone. They're plan is to get rid of stupid spending, like turtle tunnels and cement toilets that cost 45k a pop. What I quoted were the words spoken by Mitt Romney at a fund raiser. How many people do you know 65 and older that are collecting the Social Security benefit they paid into and pay no taxes? "Romney /Ryan are not raising taxes on SS" That's nice to hear considering Ryan and the Republican House just raised the SS wage base by $3300 and raised the withholdings from 4.2% to 6.2% effective March 2012. "In March 2012 6.2% and the Medicare tax rate of 1.45%, will change to 7.65% for 2012. The maximum social security tax that employees and employers will each pay in 2012 is $6,826.20. This is an increase of $2,340.60 from the 2011 maximum tax of $4,485.60." When are they going to tell us which tax loop holes they plan on closing? "The 14 percent, thats on investment income, not earned income, or didn't you think I knew anything about how investment works?" I understand the capital gains tax codes and why Romney and Warren Buffet only pay 14% income tax, but the difference is, Buffet wasn't complaining about the 47% that includes military and seniors paying zero in taxes to a group of millionaires. Romney wasn't talking about capital gains, he was talking about the Americans paying zero in Federal taxes. At first I thought he meant 47% of the Obama voters were on welfare, but it's clear he meant the 47% who file and pay zero in taxes. I personally know people paying over 30% in Federal taxes and they too mentioned the high percentage of people playing zero in taxes or some of those who had zero in withholding taxes, but still got a return because of tax credits. I agree the current tax code is crazy, but why blame the seniors who worked and paid their fair share of taxes?

"I'm sorry if you think I outed you." For posting the Republican Party's anti-internet gambling plank? If anything I outed you for all that crap you posted about the your party's platform on anti-Internet gambling being meaningless. You can't have it both ways; are your party's planks on abortion, the war in Afghanistan, Medicare, and taxes meaningless too? When I pointed out the fact marriage is a state issue whether or not the President supports it, you responded like a play grade school playground bully. Here's another fact Bully, Romney's grandfather didn't support traditional marriage either so he moved his family to Mexico along with his brothers and their multiple wives. Your childish innuendos won't change the fact I've always been in favor of traditional marriage (between one man and one woman)and always thought those vehemently protesting gay marriage must fear the gays because they secretly harbor those same thoughts. Gay marriage has no effect on my legal Kentucky marriage (between one man and one woman). You ought to be ecstatic over the fact neither of the two men getting married in Massachusetts when Romney was Governor will become pregnant and get an abortion. The topic here isn't about same gender marriage or the secret thoughts of the homophobic; it's about the fact the Republican Party went on record saying they want to abolish all forms of Internet gambling because in their own words "Millions of Americans suffer from problem or pathological gambling". News flash Bully, only two states approved online ticket sales and only one state lottery was selling tickets online when that plank was written. Illinois certainly doesn't have "millions of pathological gamblers", millions of players buying tickets online and the Inernet poker sites closed their doors to U.S. players well over a year ago. Who are the millions of pathological gamblers the Republican Party wants to "protect" by banning online gambling? "Who are the millions of pathological gamblers the Republican Party wants to "protect" by banning online gambling?" Uh, you for one. And any other schmuck like you who puts his obsession with gambling ahead of national interests. You can do your little bullsh*t Democrat propaganda/rhetoric dance about your phony-ass concerns about the Platform all you want because it's all bullsh*t and you know it. You know you're not convincing me or anybody else with half a brain of your nonsense but you continue in hopes of fooling the numbskulls anyway. That's why I asked you previously to stop addressing me with your nonsense -- talk directly to the numbskulls, they're eager for your lies. Why you want to drone on and on to me about the virtues of Sodomite marriage is baffling. Do what you want, I don't care. Again, listen closely -- I DON"T CARE. Tell your drooling moron buddies about it, I'm not interested! I never saw anybody with such a single dimensional focus as you. You'd rather see the country go down in flames than miss getting your bet in. You obviously have a problem (and I'm sure you're aware of it) and you ought to get some help for it. But you won't. And it's typical for weasel-like Democrats like yourself to care more about your little personal issues than critically important matters. That's what makes your kind so GD annoying. If you were yapping in my ear in a saloon like you're doing here, I guarantee it would be short-lived and it wouldn't happen twice. So kindly annoy somebody else for awhile. I'm not interested in anything else you have to say. And if you need to work out your frustrations over this, do like most Democrats do, go get on the highway and drive slow in the fast lane. That should assuage your innate Democrat need to annoy people. I'll never forget old whats-his-name...

My mom Stack, she's 71 and her only income is SS, The only thing withheld from her check is her medicaid insurance, no federal, no state, no city, she does not even have to file a tax return anymore, and yes, some people do get exempt from filing returns. Nobody is raising taxes on seniors collecting SS.

Speaking of typical, you can't even stick to the topic and acknowledge the fact the Republican Party went on record of wanting to ban all forms of Internet gambling. You're trying to turn every topic into your personal agenda pretending you're a bully. We all know you're very witty so stick that and use your bully tactics to scare the kids on Halloween. What part of this is lottery discussion forum where people talk about gambling every day where important matters are should they play the mirrors, go up and down 1 number, or switch the 6 or 9 don't you understand?

You act like the Democrats would actually give you internet gambling at some point. They're not going to. They never will. And you know that. Your guys (the sniveling weasel party) had two full years of absolute, full, total control of the White House, the House and the Senate. If they wanted to give you internet gambling they would have given it to you, BECAUSE NOBODY COULD HAVE STOPPED THEM. So obviously, the Democrats are against online gambling. And if you think your buddy, Democrat Harry(GirlyVoice)Reid (the only Mormon you guys don't hate with a passion), would ever allow a bill like that to see the light of day, I want some of what you're smokin'. Why aren't you whining about that? Or are you just whining to be whining, like most sniveling Democrats? I'll never forget old whats-his-name...

Nobody is raising taxes on seniors collecting SS. To my knowledge nobody in either party has suggested raising taxes on seniors with only regular SS as income; that would be political suicide though it's possible either side could raise Medicare withholdings. The sad part is because of the current tax codes, SS can be taxed when that income should be tax exempt on those with other incomes. Federal taxes are deducted from our pay checks before F.I.C.A. so those on SS have already paid their taxes on the money paid into SS. Even though Romney was talking to a group of millionaires not knowing his remarks were being taped, he still should have known better than to group the seniors, military, and the working poor with those who never or hardly worked and have collected government assistance almost their entire lives. In the last two one term presidential elections it was the incumbent making that type of mistakes that can and do alienate voters. Capital gains are the profits on investments and it's really unfair to blame anyone for taking advantage of the current tax codes. What is unfair is taxing my lottery profits at a much higher rate. Instead of talking about what to do when the Bush era taxes expire, both parties should be talking about one flat tax rate with no deductions, breaks, or loop holes we can all live with. Exempt all incomes under $25,000 or whatever is determined to be the poverty level. Pay as-you-go taxes with no more complicated forms to filed by April 15.

Why aren't you whining about that? Or are you just whining to be whining, like most sniveling Democrats? "You act like the Democrats would actually give you internet gambling at some point. They're not going to. They never will." They don't have to "give me" Internet gambling because I won $230 betting a couple of races at Keeneland online today from a tip I got from a horse owner. I could have placed bets on any race on any track in the country that simulcasts. I gave you way too much credit because apparently you're too ignorant to do any research. Legal online horse race betting has been around for years and was not affected by the Wire Act or the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. You really should join the 21st century and get high speed Internet service and you too can have the choice to gamble online. "Why aren't you whining about that?" Because Harry Reid represents the people of Nevada not the people of Kentucky or Tennessee. Someday you really ought to read the U.S. Constitution or have someone read it to you. You're wasting your time trying to be the clever grade school playground bully when your classmates already read section 4 and know only the voters a state elect their Senators. If you want Reid out, move to Nevada like when you moved to Idaho to get Republican Larry Craig elected into the Senate. Personal religion should be irreverent unless elected officials try to force their religious beliefs on the country. Kentucky and Tennessee aren't being contested by the Democrats so I haven't seen any presidential campaign ads on T.V. and don't know if Romney's personal religion is being attacked in other states or not. I have read predictions that Romney may get a lesser percentage of the Republican vote in your state than John McCain because of his religion. That we won't know until all the votes are counted. "Or are you just whining to be whining" Whining is when your VP candidate says the United States of America should fear Iran because they are using every available washing machine trying to produce weapons grade uranium. Lt General Groves would be LMAO hearing that if he were still alive. Your party leaders have no confidence in our military and maybe why Romney failed to thank those fighting for our freedom in Afghanistan during his acceptance speech. Has anyone ever thanked you for fighting for our freedom or are you just the typical grade school playground bully?
