The $425 million thread had 423 replies to date, wonder how long before this thread exceeds that. We only have until noon tomorrow to see. Though after the second increase tomorrow the LP staff writer may just do an update as opposed to starting a new thread altogether.

The $425 million thread took 2.5 days to reach 423 replies, or about seven per hour. But that rate wouldn't hold true if it were bumped up, because of the added media hype. Would probably average more like fifteen replies per hour.

Wowzers! I purchased my tickets this morning before the increase. While in the car, I was listening to a local radio morning show and of course they were talking about the PB jackpot. The hosts were listing items that you can buy for $1(burger from McDonalds, a pack of gum, etc.) and then he said you can buy a PB ticket for $1. A listener emailed the show with the "correction" that stated the PB was $2 without the megaplier....but $3 with it. One of ladies on the show then asked, "What's the megaplier?" The host then says "it doubles your prize if you win..even the jackpot prize. Just imagine winning $850 million" I know it shouldn't bother me but it worries me when misinformed people play the lottery and win. I really hope that tomorrow night the winning ticket is held by someone who has played the lottery for years and plays even when the jackpot is low. Good luck to all and and may the person who matches all 6 numbers win!
