Tom Corbett is pressing state Attorney General Kathleen Kane to say whether she'll approve a contract to hire a British firm to manage the $3.5 billion Pennsylvania Lottery. Camelot Global Services' bid to take over lottery management from state employees expires Saturday. Kane has a little over three weeks to decide whether the 20- to 30-year contract is legal. In the meantime, the contract's legality is being challenged in court by Democratic lawmakers and the union that represents lottery employees. Kane, a Democrat, isn't saying when she'll decide, but says it's disingenuous to suggest that the contract review is a simple, ministerial exercise. Corbett, a Republican, says he expects a decision this week, but isn't saying whether he's discussing a bid extension with Camelot. AP We'd love to see your comments here! With so many people unemployed in the country you telling me Americans are incapable of running a Lottery, that they not smart enough? If we can put a man on the moon decades ago, launch cruise missiles that strike within feet of the said target from miles away l think we can find some savvy americans to run this unit.

Cornball Corbett will be reviewing the options now. He needs to give up the push towards
an insane situation and just leave things as they are. What moron makes assinine changes
to an already well oiled machine? It's bad enough when blatant favoritism for one's own
personal benefit occur within state/ country borders....worse when it becomes an international
affair. We already have too many alien hands in our business. Why let the British rule for
20/30 years? Haven't we already been through crap like that not too long ago?
This has little to do with what is better for PA residents and everything to do with
what is best for personal agenda, accomplishment and ego.
We've already got enough foreign interference in other areas - keep it the hell out of PA Corbett. 310 707 808 697 897 209 141 171

Whatever change this will bring, I am just hoping that it will benefit more people. Just do their job well and be compensated on their services.
