Now deciding if they want to go public
The £81,381,673.30 payout (US$123.7 million), which saw the lucky ticket-holder shoot to sixth on the UK National Lottery Rich List, had gone unclaimed since Tuesday night.
The winner is now deciding whether or not to go public with the win.
A Camelot spokesman said, "The claim has been validated and the prize is in the process of being paid out.
"The ticketholder is currently deciding whether to go public or remain anonymous."
While the winner remains a mystery for the moment, Twitter was awash with speculation about who had one the enormous jackpot.
One Twitter user suggested a resident of Coleraine, Northern Ireland might have been the lucky winner, while another referred to rumours they hailed from Clydebank, Scotland.
According to the Sunday Times Rich List 2012, winning £80 million would make the lucky ticket-holder the joint 908th richest person in the country.
The winner can boast of being four times richer than Adele, who has a fortune of £20 million.
The life-changing sum could see the winner purchase their own Greek island, such as Omfori Island, currently being advertised for just over £40 million.
Or the winner could spend all of the money in one single purchase to buy one of the UK's most expensive homes in Regent's Park in London, which sold in March for £80 million.
However, a study last year showed that rather than splashing out on flashy cars or homes, actual lottery winners are more likely to buy a caravan, volunteer for charity and even return to their day job following the potentially life-changing win.
The winning numbers for Tuesday, May 28, 2013, were 8, 13, 26, 34, 38, with Lucky Star numbers 3 and 11.
don't go public. enjoy your winnings in peace!!!
"The winner is now deciding whether or not to go public with the win."
Now that is quite humorous!
Stay anonymous...
Congrats to the lucky winner, I would keep quiet about it.
nice win. good luck staying anonymous, once your ID is out you'll never have a quiet life again. of course buying greek island or $80 mill mansions will be a give away too. i hope to never hear from winner again. but i doubt that will be the case.

A Caravan?

Stay anonymous.
I don't know why you'd want to announce it to everybody on that crowded little island.
Everybody could practically walk to your house.
Caravan means RV in the UK.
