WHEELING, W.Va. — West Virginia has another $1 million lottery winner.
Lottery spokesman Randy Burnside tells The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register that a ticket sold in the Wheeling area won a $1 million prize in the Powerball drawing on Wednesday.
It's the third $1 million lottery ticket sold in the state within a week.
On Tuesday, retired truck driver Randy Brown of Man claimed a $1 million Mega Millions prize. He bought a ticket that matched five numbers from the Feb. 7 drawing.
Another ticket sold in Beckley matched 5 numbers from the Powerball drawing on Feb. 8.

The Wheeling ticket was purchased at the Firehouse Marathon gas station on Wheeling Island.
Good week to be in West Virginia, congrats to all the winners.
Close PA but no cigar Congratulations to ALL the Winners
It's pop pop popping second prizes. I remember the story in 2012 where two veterans from WV bought 7 PB tickets with PP and all tickets hit for the second prize. $14M.
Getting closer to Pennsylvania, I shall be the first ginormous jackpot winner in the state

I hope it's not one of those Pastors that died from the snake bite.
big time congrats
I think I need to take a road trip to WV Congratulation to all the winners
Doesnt our boy Jack Whittaker live in W. VA.?? It'd be cool if he was one of the winners LOL
I seriously doubt anyone here would find it "cool" if your boy Jack Whittaker won. I believe most folks would rather see it won by someone who needs the funds and is a little more deserving.
It will be faster to fly not much to see on the long ROAD
Fortuna was definitely hanging around W VA! Congrats to the winners!
Im 85 miles from Wheeling Dang ! I gotta get out more.....
