JEFFERSON CITY, MO — A new Missouri Lottery Draw Game offers players three games with nine chances to win on a single ticket and a top prize of $250,000 cash.

The new game, $250K Triple Play, officially went sale Sunday.

The $2 ticket includes three separate games with nine chances to win cash. Players can win up to $250,000 on Game 1, up to $10,000 on Game 2 and up to $5,000 on Game 3.

"The best part of this new cash game is that it is a Missouri-only game," said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. "All the prizes will be won on tickets bought right here in Missouri."

Reardon noted the overall chances of winning a prize are excellent at 1 in 6.18.

"There will be a lot of winners," she said. "Based on the design, we expect to average more than 100,000 winners each month and average more than one winner of a quarter of a million."

$250K Triple PlayTo play, players pick four numbers from 1 to 60 for Game 1 or have the computer "Quick Pick" the numbers for them. Players will receive a total of eight more sets of "Quick Pick" numbers for Games 2 and 3. The winning numbers will be drawn at 8:59 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, along with Missouri Lotto, Pick 3 and Pick 4. Players can buy tickets up to 15 consecutive drawings in advance.

"We are very excited about this new Draw Game, and players are going to love getting so many chances to win on one ticket," Reardon added.

To kick off the new game, players can enter their non-winning $250K Triple Play tickets into the "Triple Play at the Raceway" second-chance promotion for a chance to win trips for two to Sonoma Raceway in California. The promotion starts on Feb. 23 and runs through March 30.

Players can enter their non-winning tickets into their free My Lottery account on the Missouri Lottery Web site to receive one entry per dollar (two entries for a $2 ticket) into one of four weekly drawings.

Two players will be drawn each week to win: two race suite tickets with Hot Passes for the June 22 races at Sonoma Raceway; a vineyard tour excursion to three of the top vineyards in the Sonoma Valley; airfare, ground transportation and hotel accommodations; and $1,000 spending cash. A total of eight winners will receive this grand-prize trip.

Ten other names will be drawn each week to win $500 for a total of 40 cash winners. The drawings will be held on March 11, 18, 25 and April 1.

The winning numbers for $250K Triple Play will be published on Lottery Post's Missouri Lottery Results page soon after each drawing, with prize payouts and past results available by clicking the appropriate links on the page.

It does sound like a good game.

I like the fact that it's not confusing to match winners, unlike other similar games in which some of the prizes are matched by numbers on different lines.  I think a lot of players end up throwing out winning tickets because they don't know how to match the numbers in those games.

Interesting game.  If they bring this game to California, I'd play.  I bet it would do well here.

Its similar to  2 x 2 that many states have....it pays better but kind of the same concept

Sounds like a good game to me too. Hope New York gets a similar game.

I just noticed this MO Triple Play game is very similar to OR Win for Life and AZ Weekly Winnings games.

Don't know what you call this new class of games with multiple match 4 of 4 games and multiple lines per play. MO Triple Play is 4/60 with 9 lines in 3 games of 1,3,5 lines each. OR Win for Life is 4/77 with 15 lines in 4 games of 1,2,4,8 lines each. And AZ Weekly Winnings is 4/50 with 6 lines in 3 games of 1,2,3 lines each. All of them offer match 3 of 4 or 2 of 4 prizes for any line, plus OR Win for Life has a match nothing prize for all lines.

The published odds for MO Triple Play below: (something looks off)

Game Matches Chances 1 In Prize
Game 1 4 487,635.00 $250,000
Game 2 4 162,545.33 $10,000
Game 3 4 97,527.40 $5,000
Any Game 3 242.33 $30
Any Game 2 6.32 $2
Overall Chances: 1 in 6.18

Jon D,

I don't thik anything is off. If I'm reading it right you get a little more 'bang' for your $2. Just too bad it's a RNG and not a ball draw.

Yeah, I understand how they get those numbers. But sometimes I wonder about the way the lottery represents the game odds on the more complicated games, which numbers they choose to publish, and the different formats and wording they use.

Well I hear you on that one. Illinois calls its All or Nothing game Hit or Miss, it's identical to the Georgia game in the News forum.

On the back of the playslip where the odds and payouts are listed, there is not listing at all or 5, 6, and 7 hits, which pay nothing and are the most common results. But the chart makes it appear that everything wins.

When the game first came out people were asking the clerks, "Why didn't I win anything? How come I don't get paid?"
