I see what you're saying, but it's not going to make a sound at the point of sale, probably to enhance player experience, so players can discover the instant wins themselves.  It's like Scratcher tickets, you don't want a machine to let you know if you won or not before scratching it.

Depends on which state lottery because the KY terminals do make sounds indicating the ticket is an instant winner. They offer 5 Card Cash on the self-serve vending machines with no bells or whistles for an instant win.

Finally got some tics and got 3/10$ back. They sold a top prize already (250k). Clerk showed me tics from a a guy that won $600 in total earlier. Waited in line for ten minutes watching this elder lady b4 me buying tics and winning her $$$ back and leaving ahead. Only bad part is the scanner would'nt show the instant win amount.

I keep getting instant wins with minimal investment  every other day eerily enough.

At least it keeps me more amused than P3 and I feel like I'm winning something. However,   one of the stores I go to tells me

before he hands me the ticket that I'm a winner.I really don't care much for that but I know him well.I really do feel bad for the older folks who

go to the terminal and hand the guy their slip then mozy around the store looking for something else.I could definitely see a clerk watching for a 'good ' instant winner to spit out
