GTECH Corporation: GTech gets deal for new online terminals from Spain’s national lotteryGTech Corp of West Greenwich, R.I., has won a sale to provide new online lottery terminals to Sistemas Tecnicos de Loterias del Estado (STL), the operator of the online system for the National Lottery in Spain. According to the company, the deal could be worth as much as $9 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, STL will replace 2,500 Spectra online lottery terminals with 2,500 Altura terminals. In addition, GTech will continue to provide STL with terminal maintenance and repair services.
STL has been a GTech customer for online lottery products and services since 1990.
"We are certainly gratified by STL's continued confidence in us and believe it is a direct reflection of the quality of GTech's products and services, which is the hallmark of our business," said GTech president and chief executive officer W. Bruce Turner, in a statement.
GTech stock opened at $51.25, unchanged from yesterdays close.
