You can easily check older tickets on the web before cashing them in...

In PA, the big green machines have a display facing the customer that when scanned, will say "Winner" or "Not a Winner"... it does NOT give the amounts on the customer side...

If you play in PA,  ALWAYS check at http://www.palottery.com for the number and also the payout... important on lower tier pari-mutuel prizes like 3 out of 5 and 4 out of 5 on the Cash5. Now that stupid6 is gone, only the cash 5 retains the pari-mutuel prize structure on the lower tiers... Match6, Powerball, Pick3 and Pick4 are all fixed prizes. I have seen Cash5 3 of 5 tix pay from $7 to $15...

Know BEFORE You Go

Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.
