You're obviously God's creation. So full of human intellect and human wisdom. But ahh, the wisdom of man reeks havoc...

God also created the cat and the dog and the giraffe and the turtle. No human intellect there. Just to keep you company.

OK...I understand that the usual response was expected, but asking me to repeat a mantra 10 times is not what I expected from you. Obviously you can't describe what special relationship you have with the almighty.

Nevermind. I really thought you had more depth, but you are not able to explain yourself, without cliches.
Witthout a lot of weird explanations, can you explain the unique situation you have with god? Please be concise or this conversation is too tiring to continue.

It's actually kind of funny, I totally expected that kind of response about knowing God. It's always the same... "Ah, if you see Him next time...." or "What you been smokin'?". It's really a good laugh for me... I was not referring to actually meeting God on a daily basis like we were some kind of buds meeting up at the ball game. If this can help, say this to yourself at least ten time slowly... and think each time you do... you just might have small tiny bit of a glimpse of what I'm saying. ...
As clearly stated at the beginning, 'you would not understand'... and I don't ask that you even believe me... just know that it is... that's all.... know. As I know more than you are willing to handle... how's that movie saying, "You can't handle the truth!".. and more applicable now than at any other time. Once again, I ask that you don't not believe me, know me.

It's all in your mind my friend. God only exists in the mind of people who are afraid of their mortality. Do you really believe there is a divine plan for all this mess?
There's only one way to say this, but I know you'll not understand. I don't believe in God, I know God. Now, that being said, it would be a mistake in thinking that statement has some kind of insane undertone to it. There is no frame of reference that I can even begin to convey to you that will help you understand it. My own personal experience as an young child is what puts this understanding in my perspective.
What you said has all the ear marks of the "I didn't do it, don't blame me" defense... [ More ]

I would never criticize a sitting Pope for religious wars that occurred thousands of years ago. It is irrelevant. Every religion has committed acts that would be completely unacceptable today. And atheists have also done just as vile acts in the past too. Every group has.

These types of arguments against Catholics were created as a means for other religions (and atheists) to bash the Catholic church, and they have been picked up by others who don't necessarily share the same disdain for C... The all powerful vengeful god and mythical son ready to rein death and destruction upon the sinners of the world. Seems the pot is just calling the kettle black, aye? From all the pissy and moany attitudes that have been cropping up by the originators of the scare-mongering ideology and its self proclaimed righteous and religious American supporters, we can see that what goes around, comes around.
