Actually in the last 92 pb draws a white ball has repeated from the previous draw 40 times (about 43%). Its a little high this year...overall it happens 35-37% of the time.

Oh my lord...the winning numbers tonight were 4-5-6-16 and the megaball was 21! I mentioned all of those above several hours ago. I can't believe it.

Probably not too embarrassing... even in mega millions California only averages about 4 million in ticket sales per draw. Thats a State with about 36 million people (New York with 19 million ppl averages maybe about 6.3 million per draw.)...Could be that there are a high percentage of millionaires there that prefer not to buy lottery tickets....could be that they prefer to spend there money in Vegas instead....Super lotto sales are probably not that good in CA...

Raven is right. If you get 5 white balls and you Powerplay'd your tickets, you will get 1 million dollars. If you don't, you will get $200,000. Now, don't get me wrong, I would take the $200,000 in a heart-beat, but I would rather have the million. Plus, if you happen to get one of the smaller prizes, it will give you more money on those as well. So yeah, I think Powerplay is worth it.

I don't concern myself too much with the dynamics of randomness or it's existence as it pertains to PB or MM.

It' kinda like Ohio Classic Lotto in Ohio. Even though OCL is a 6/49 game with better odds, it took over a year for its last big jackpot to build up to $36M+ and won. Check with your state lottery. Most of the retailers don't even know what's going on concerning the lottery. Especially if you're going to a convenient store with a high turnover of employees. I found out the hard way on that one time.

As the games are set up now, states only get revenues generated by tickets sales in their states. States contribute a third of their tickets sales to both the MegaMillions and PowerBall jackpots and pay all other prizes out of money earned locally in their state. The only thing the states share in a multi-state game is the cost of the jackpot and if no one in their state wins it, they are shipping a third of their ticket sales to the states that have the winners.

Yes no. The reason I don't like it might be personal, since I already bet a certain amount of numbers every Wed Sat on Lotto. So I'm not going to double my monthly gambling allowance no matter what incentives they offer, unless the odds change.

There are also a lot of people that drive to Florida to buy tickets--Georgia, Alabama and Missisippi are non PB states . I would venture a guess of thousands of tickets are sold to non residents when the JP is really high.

Hey Edge how is this working for ya??? Any luck/progress yet?

I just noticed that the jackpots are moving by more than 1/2 a mil each time. Tonights moved by 1.5 mil, a couple of weeks ago they were only going up by 1/2 a mil ???

Also noticed that the last couple of months winners were ALL QPs.. which is why I always have $1 in QPs for this game, and my own numbers.

Most states probably keep such records but only for investigative proposes. You would probably have to go through all their previous news releases and compile that data yourself.

Yeah I see what you mean. I just start in the middle and do the digits surrounding the 5. I am in the process of seeing what digit is popping up in the 1st position. I am going back 6 months and I will use that digit as my first one when I complete it. Other than that, I will just play the same combos from now on. One day I will hit th big one...lol
