A test had been done at rec.lottery,and it shows that randonness beats human picks for the most part of time.

If you only play 10 bucks,its better to use random ones,as most jackpots are won in 10 bucks.

A mature lottery pool at least needs constant investment of 250 bucks per time for 10 rounds,and may get a second prize.

I don't care for travel, don't need more than one home for myself, not all that into cars, would buy better foods and helping people would be at a reasonable rate mainly for tax reasons when it comes to donating and people I know would also be very limited....

I finally answered my own question by just looking at the record MM jackpots list on the Mega Millions site... Back in 2006 Ohio had back to back Mega Millions jackpot winners and there was only one winner for each. First one on 2/28/2006 for $270,000,000 and then again on 4/18/2006 someone won again for $265,000,000. I'm sure there's smaller jackpots that have had it happen too. So I guess it isn't unheard of.

Well I just proved having many ticket lines does not guarantee anything.

Quick scenario:

I used my thirty dollar win to purchase thirty win for life lines on Friday the second since it gave me one free ticket line for each one purchased. So on the Saturday drawing I had sixty lines in my greedy little hands just waiting for the big win .

Where did you get that?

I think the numbers are random. They balls are being selected randomly. We might only be getting a glimpse of a set in a series but the drawing video proves they are random.

On the other hand, I think like any good business, they have checks in place to prevent paying out more than they have to. If somebody buys multiple sets of the same numbers, they would know ahead of time to stay away from those numbers.

The Jackpot in Florida is 25 million or at least that's what it says on the website...They got a thing where for 2 dollars play you win 35 million dollars and for 3 dollars play they can win 50 million dollars...Well i don't think such a promotion will hold very long...I think they should set it where for 3 dollars they win 35 million and for 6 dollars they win 50 million...This people forget that Florida is not China or India...

Yes, four of those numbers 'repeated' - TEN years ago ! Back when the matrix was 49 numbers. This is another statistic I looked at, and have deemed it unusable - but if you want to play entire sets of repeat numbers - be my guest. Remember - the game is random, you have just as likely a chance at winning as any other set of numbers, the question is, will you ?

I have tracked this, and as I said, I deem it unusable, because I see instances where 3 of the 5 numbers have hit up to nine times in

That's what happens a lot of the time when all the numbers are very low. Still, I've never won and I follow the rules or get quick picks so 4-12-17-21 and MB 9 worked out well for 4 people. However, 2 of the 4 winning tickets were QPs. 3 of the 4 winners were in the Miami area, which isn't uncommon to see.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may change the wording on my notorized statement next time. The current statement is good through June 30, so I'll be doing another one in a few months. When I made the current one I was only buying MM tickets when the jackpot got larger and switching to buying state lotto tickets (where the probability is better) if the MM was low. I didn't do a gifting statement for the state lotto.

YES..that also is an example of what i'm talking about...that draw skipped 3 decades 0s, 30s,50s..

one could have gueesed a skip in 50 ok most of time but the skips in 0s, 10s, 20s,30s are harder to guess...

also patterns like this: 121100 (shuffle around the 2111 numbers) draw out 50% of time...that means its generally good idea to skip 2 decades when making picks...its easier and more beneficial to make eliminations than to make picks (guessing a number is 1/55 or 1/56 but guessing a dec... [ More ]
