      <description><![CDATA[LOL! Yeah, that would probably work!Seriously though, Alabama is shooting itself in the foot (as usual) by not having a lottery. GA, TN, and FL are prospering by having education lotteries in their states, and there are a good many Alabamians (like me) who are contributing to that prosperity.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Sure, but the OK and NC legislatures aren't run by the teachers' union's boss. That isn't the case here in AL.   Last time the lottery vote came up, the teachers' union (AEA) didn't really support the lottery.If a lottery isn't dedicated primarily to K-12 education, it's unlikely that it will pass.See Alabama   The Lottery]]></description>
