According the invitation to bid, the Cash 5 will be a 5/39. They also specify that the machine have the abilty to draw at least 6 numbers, which means either a bonus ball (like Roadrunner Cash) or that Mr. Sha-heeeen is leaving the possiblity of an in-state pick-6, something NC could easily support.

They also specify that one set for each game be red in color. I have no idea what this could be for. Maybe it's for future red ball promos, but... The Pick 3 game will begin Oct. 6. The Pick 5 game will start Oct. 27.

The games are played similar to the multi-state Powerball game, but with fewer numbers to choose from, better odds and lower prize amounts.

Drawings will be held every day of the week.

Top prize for picking the exact numbers in the Pick 3 game is $500.
