In their short lottery history, the state of NC has had one Powerball jackpot ticket sold and numerous second place powerball winners , but for some reason can not capitalize on the publicity and launch a pick 4 and a pick 5 game to boost revenues.

How hard can it be to add the pick 4 since you already have the pick 3 ?

Best they can come up with is piggybacking on the raffle bandwagon ?

that dog won't hunt.

3 stooges is right...

I strongly agree with THAT. I did contact the NC Lottery concerning the P-4 game. The reply was that if that game were to be considered, it would be in the next fiscal year which begins in July '07. Hopefully our emails can put more pressure on to impliment the game within the next fiscal year.

No, not a great game at those odds IMO.

Maybe it will appeal to those who keep calling at a makable chance at $1 (or multiple $1 million prizes instead of one multi-million prize).

Was SC's game an instant ticket or an online game? I know they had a problem with ticket distribution on their first high-dollar instant game.

Dumb,Dumb idea!! If SC could'nt get all of their's sold at $10 apeice, albeit there were a million- vs- 500,000 in this one, I personally dont think dont NC will do much better. I know that I WONT be buying any of them. The 's up in Raleigh can do better than this! Additonal drawing's in P-3 the addition of P-4 would surely bring more revenue than this or so i think.

99.89 percent of the tickets will be losers. Not a great game in my opinion.NC would be better served by getting the Pick 4 game going. Then add a day/night option for all the ball games.

Shaheen continues to chase high publicity games while failing to really establish the lottery in NC.Pick 3,4,5 in a day/night format would be a far better choice than a one time raffle.

At $20, it'll be the most expensive ticket to go on sale in the short history of the state lottery. The odds are a whole lot better than Powerball, and the prize is a cool $1 million. A raffle a favorite fundraising tool of school parent groups and peewee sports teams could be coming to the North Carolina Education Lottery.

It's the kind of game that appeals to people, said lottery chief Tom Shaheen.

The state lottery commission will consider adding the raffle to its lineup at its me...
