Regarding jackpot size, I don't know what it matters, since a bigger jackpot often means multiple winners, therefore a reduced amount for each winner.

That said, it was fun to play on a historic day for the lottery. I imagine some of that excitement is going to roll over into the Powerball jackpot tonight.
