Kentucky Lottery finally able to advertise where the money goes
government programs and services shall not be mentioned in advertising or promoting a lottery That doesn't mean where the lottery profits go is not available to the public, it just means the KY Lottery couldn't use that as an endorsement to play lottery games.

The Lottery Is A Tax On The Poor.
A lottery is a Zero-sum game . What one group of participants gains in cash, the other group of participants must lose. If we made a list of all the participants in a lottery, it might include: 1) Federal Government (Lottery winnings are taxable) 2) State Governments (Again lottery winnings are taxable) 3) State Governments (Direct share of lottery ticket sales) 4) Merchants that sell tickets (Paid by the lottery organizers) 5) Lottery companies (Hint: They are not doing all this ...

I love Canada, TAX FREE LOTTO !
Lottery winnings in the US should not be taxed at all! If other countries don't tax it then we shouldn't either. Government likes seeing those massive $500 million jackpots because they know they're in for a BIG payday.

Great, these countries rock !!! because it's good to win and see all your cash. We pay enough tax already and share the winnings with the government again...i find it ridiculous when i see people in US win say $300M and like almost half of it is gone to the big guys. Wow !!! you guys need to move in Canada. I love my country !!!

Cottage industry helps lottery winners dodge taxes
Any system that rips the Government or State off has my vote. It's just wrong how badly they get to waste our money. I will give our Governor credit for asking why they bought new Highway equipment when the old stuff is still good.

God D----IT!------MUST THE GOVERNMENT TRY TO BE THAT NOSY AND BLEED EVERYONE? This story makes no sense....the darn government don't care about homelessness and poverty, but they are concerned with someone trying to get some money for themselves that they wouldn't otherwise be able to get any other way. Anytime someone comes up with a creative way to make a dollar, like people cashing lottery tickets for someone else, the stinkin' government always has to stick its smelly behind where it does ...

Why not choose the annuity?
Take the cash now, pay your appropriate taxes now, get your personal materials, now, for the future..future taxes are very unpredictable, especially with government growth, spending, control the growing attitude of financial redistribution. Prepare for a rainy day ..... You won't be sorry.
