Minnesota paperless, instant-win Lottery games to end
Todd, You have won the discussion. Those pesky politicians who are vote hungry. Like Sir Winston Churchill said, Democracy is a terrible form of government until you look at all the alternatives. Thank God we live in a Republic and not an insane Democracy.

Minnesota paperless, instant-win Lottery games to end
Do you really think the people want the government to restrict them from playing online? Personally, I think it's a case of the people's representatives not doing what the people want. A bad trend for the lottery? Let's hope it's not a trend.

Like any other government, try curbing unnecessary spending before you go after the people.

Pennsylvania lottery winners to be taxed for the first time
And this is why one should always take the lump sum. Whenever there's a need for a state and/or federal government to come up with more money, they go after lottery winnings first. Over the course of 30 years those installments are going to get smaller and smaller.

Texas legislature to consider lottery winner anonymity bill
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......Kudos state reps, for realizing the spring flowers are blooming and the coffee's-a-brewing. You have renewed my faith (just a smidge) that reasonableness and common sense still does exist in government officials. Thanks for doing your jobs and keeping the safety/security of the folks first and foremost.

$75,000 California Lottery winner leaves with only $75
Do you believe everything the government tells you? I can't believe people won't look into how the lottery inspector just happened to pull a big 75,000 ticket. ( yes the clerk was in the wrong ) However it does put a spotlight on how the lottery investigation services came up with the ticket in the first place.

Court rules grandmother, 90, will receive $1.85 instead of $41M jackpot
Yes, the better thing for society would be to bankrupt the casino and have 1000s of people lose their jobs so this woman can get the money, pay 40% of it to the government, croak, then pay another 40% to the government on the remaining amount. It's the right thing to do!

IRS scammed with losing lottery tickets
Im NOT anti tax or anti government. On the Contrary, im pro Constitutional government. I guess it depends on which government your referring to. I consider the current US government anything but Constitutional. Bush said it and Obama is acting on it. The US Constitution is just a piece of paper. RL

A state lottery could help Alabama get its financial house in order
, Technut! Since hiring an Ace Bookeeper, then requiring all legislature notions/concepts/plans and government contracts to vendors get approved through this Bookeeper FIRST doesn't make sense for this state or any other state within the good 'ole U.S. of A.

Online Lottery Play
I'm a adult. I don't want or need the government, dictator over my money after they've gotten their taxes. I don't need them telling me how to enjoy my money. If I wanted to play on- line with some of it so be it. Unlike them I Know what a budget is. I feel the government has had enough free lunches it our expense. 85% of the money they got in taxes is squandered. If they had limited themselves as much as they've trying to limit us as adults now, the National debt would been lower. So, it time f ...
