Should we boycott Mega Millions?
I'm curious to know the source of your information especially when you say Even Wyoming, with just under 600,000 population has more than Virginia and DC in sales combined ($44,845). My sources give the sales figures for last nights MM draw as follows for the states you mentioned. DC $36,632 MD $479,035 VA $563,516 VT $17,830 WY $44,845

Should we boycott Mega Millions?
You said: You do realize that everyone has the same chances of winning despite the state they live in, right? The only thing affecting your chances of winning, by only the tiniest of margin, is how many lines you play. Someone playing $1 in Wyoming has the same chance as someone playing $1 in California, Texas, New York or Florida. There is a larger chance of someone in California winning than a person in Wyoming, but that's only because California has more people playing. However, the odds o ...

Should we boycott Mega Millions?
You know I have purchased tickets in California, Florida, Texas and I didn't win the jackpot from any of those three states. And you are wrong ticket sales went up dramatically when California joined the Powerball. On the other hand I don't think we will even notice a ripple in the sales this week when Wyoming joins.

Maybe they can make it work anyway. It is possible that the people who go to the Indian casinos will throw their money this way too. I am thinking that maybe next month, I should drive the 100 or so miles just to buy a ticket in Wyoming, just because.

Wyoming Lottery kicks off media blitz
As of 2012, Wyoming's population was 576,412. Wow, some of the smallest mid sized cities in America have a bigger population then that of the entire state of Wyoming. I don't know how they are going to be able to make the lottery work there. I wonder how much research did Wyoming put into this before deciding to go ahead with it?

Wyoming Lottery kicks off media blitz
At least now Wyoming residents don't have to go out of state to play some PowerBall MM quick picks and lose. They can do that in the comfort of their neighborhood.
