In January 2010 the state lines that have been dividing the United States into Powerball states and Mega Millions states will be blurred by a cross-selling arrangement between the two multi-state lottery titans.

Illinois Lottery Halloween raffle awards treats for grownups
The Illinois Lottery held its fifth-ever Millionaire Raffle drawing yesterday the second on Halloween which instantly created four millionaires.

Arizona Lottery announces raffle with 'Early Bird' drawing
Early buyers also get free Powerball tickets
With Christmas and New Year's Day approaching, the state lotteries are once again preparing their latest holiday raffle promotions.
Thursday the Arizona Lottery announced their Holiday Edition of the Millionaire Raffle game that will award more than $3 million in total cash prizes, including one $1 million grand prize and a special Early Bird drawing on Nov. 19 worth $100,000.

Maryland Lottery director hired by D.C. Lottery
Roogow has been Md. director for 12 years
WBAL Radio has learned that Buddy Roogow is leaving the Maryland Lottery. He has accepted the post of Executive Director of the D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games.
David Umanski in the office of the CFO for the D.C. Lottery tells WBAL Radio that after a nationwide search, Roogow was the superior candidate for the post.

America's multi-state lottery titans agree to ticket-selling partnership
Even bigger, unified national game could be next
They are the two marquee games in American lotteries: Mega Millions and Powerball. Each lottery state currently has one, but not the other. However, the Mega Millions consortium and Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) have reached an agreement in principle to cross-sell Mega Millions and Powerball in all U.S. lottery jurisdictions.

Kentucky Lottery draws airing on new TV stations
The TV stations which air the nightly Kentucky Lottery drawing program in the state's three largest media markets has changed, effective today.
In Louisville, the drawing program will move to WBKI/The CW Louisville. Lexington viewers will now be able to watch the drawings on the CWKYT. Players in Northern Kentucky will see the drawing show on WKRP-TV.

There was one big winner in Saturday night's Multi-Match drawing from the Maryland Lottery, ending the months-long jackpot-roll that grew to a record-breaking $4.8 million top prize.

Single lottery ticket wins final Super 7 jackpot worth $24M
The final Canada Super 7 jackpot, totalling almost $24 million, was won Friday night by a single ticket in Saskatchewan.
Lottery hopefuls across Canada were especially interested in the final draw because all the prize money was guaranteed to be won.

Tickets for the New York Lottery's newest game go on sale September 15.
