A woman faces a preliminary hearing on charges she stole $48,000 worth of instant-win Pennsylvania lottery tickets from the convenience store where she worked.
Online court records do not list an attorney for 39-year-old Diane Justi, of Freedom.

Police arrested two men and two women earlier this week who allegedly ran a lottery ticket scam that targeted elderly Hispanic victims.

Report claims lottery not investigating fraud complaints
The state ombudsman issued a report Tuesday alleging Iowa Lottery officials have failed to adequately protect the enterprise's customers from fraud and theft by retailers.

Iowa Lottery retail check finds no cheating
The Iowa Lottery said today it found no evidence that lottery ticket winners were cheated when it conducted security checks last month at 120 retail sites statewide.
Three lottery underecover investigators posed as customers and visited 126 randomly-selected Iowa retail locations on Feb. 24 and 25, said Iowa Lottery Vice President Mary Neubauer. They presented 128 winning tickets with cash prizes ranging from $1 to $100.

Florida men charged with lottery ticket theft
Two Jacksonville men are facing felony charges over a stolen lottery ticket that was redeemed for $20,000, according to a police report.
Kenneth R. Hayes, 55, and James C. Picray, 47, were charged Friday with dealing in stolen property, according to police records. Picray was also charged with grand theft, according to the records.
