If you win the jackpot, do you go to tv and news?
I would remain as anonymous as possible. My signature says it all. Enough said.

Down here in Florida, we're not allowed to remain anonymous. The Florida law mandates that the lottery provides the winner(s) name(s), city/cities of residence, and the game won. I wonder if a trust can claim the ticket...but why am I even bothering to count my eggs before they've hatched?

Multi-state lottery shockwave sweeping America
I'm really happy that NC is getting Mega Millions!
I know it will dilute the pool a bit, but I like them better than Powerball.
Also, I play MM in VA when I drive through, but I don't like that VA won't allow anyone to remain anonymous or allow them to do trusts or LLC's.
So I'm really glad NC is getting into MM!!!

Winning the Mega Millions... hmmm...
No mega millions is not rigged. The security of mega millions is probably better than your local bank branch and rivals that of some museums.
Mega million does not screen the millions of players.
Mega millions does not know who the winner will be before the draw.
Some winners in Maryland prefer to remain anonymous I'm sure they have their reasons like Litebets said Bunky Bartlett won and has been doing all kinds of stuff with his money

Top Ten Lottery Tragedies
As others pointed out, it's not hard to figure out, so you can't be amazed and also be very bright. Also as others pointed out, most of the problems winners have are their own fault. When you're your own worst enemy anoymity can't save you from yourself. OTOH, if you're a bit intelligent, not being anonymous isn't a hardship.

Bronx mystery winner claimed half of $333M lottery jackpot
Just because they're ignorant doesn't mean they aren't also an idiot.
Even if NY allowed a winner to remain anonymous, that wouldn't prevent them from releasing other information, so anonymity isn't a reason for the spokeperson to say they can't release any other information. My guess would be that the winner is being allowed some time to get things in order before the rest of the information is released.

Bronx mystery winner claimed half of $333M lottery jackpot
I totally respect this person for wanting to remain anonymous. It simply saves being hounded by scammers, by greedy folks etc. So I hope this person can remain anonymous and enjoy his newfound wealth in peace.
