N.C. lottery expands vending machine use
North Carolina Education Lottery Commission officials are hoping a new deal that will allow players to purchase Powerball and other game tickets from vending machines will help extend the lottery's reach into more retail chain stores, like Walmart.
The deal was made on Tuesday with GTECH Corp., which runs ticket printing and logistics for the state lottery. GTECH will provide the extra machines at no charge, in exchange for the state extending their contract with the company for four more yea ...

Ohio Lottery director resigns
Well, I suppose one stress to the economy, (Ohio's), was having to spend all those millions on all the new terminals necessary to operate Intralot's lottery system. I don't think Ohio will have much luck in selling all the old terminals left over from Gtech's operation.

Ohio Lottery director resigns
It was my impression that the old contract had ended and the new contract was up for bids and Intralot won the bid. I understand Gtech had planned to make changes too if they won the bid so how did this stress the economy?

Ohio Lottery director resigns
Switching from Gtech to Intralot was not a good decision for the director. The cost to Ohio to impliment these changes was astronomical in an already stressed out economy. The plus side to this change is improved terminal functionality and much faster ticket production, (for those who play their own numbers).
Well, one thing that can be said for Ohio, is at least we still have ball drawings...

Ohio Lottery director under scrutiny for equipment debacle
Well, it looks like just another major snafu from our elected leaders. What could have possibly been so wrong with GTECH Inc., to promote the millions of additional dollars in operating cost over the next couple of years? Are these officials enjoying monumental kickbacks from lottery contract guarantee's, or what?

Unusual Proposal
If it has to do with a lot of money, there is probably something rotten there.
I have never trusted the lotteries and those companies that help run them, such as Camelot, GTech, Etc.

What does it mean?
They also have other expenses, like people working for the lottery, machines, tickets-supplies buildings, electric, telephone-internet GTech or whoever else Etc.
Setting-up a state lottery is very expensive, it would take a while for it to pay for itself.

21 Combinations
Just so that everyone is clear on this point: Canada's Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, and it's provincial partners, are not involved with GTECH in any meaningful way which could possibly allow GTECH manipulation of lottery tickets or draw results (scratch-off ticket printing is immaterial).

Hello lottoshlep
Do you mean that Canadian Operators or authorities are incapable of providing so called Printing Services by themselves so they need GTECH to do it for them and you expect me to believe something as silly as this? Well, how much GTECH charges to do this for you guys?
One of the tools which is required to rig the lottery is to collect the actual data (combinations covered by players) in advance for the calculation time is the Satellite Terminals
