If you win the jackpot, do you go to tv and news?
You don't 'advertise' it, but trust me: the media will find you and knock on your door, or stake you out at the end of your driveway hoping to get a quick interview. This I know for fact. But if you have a simple news conference and get it over with, they are much less inclined to intrude upon you later.

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
I just checked my state's lottery site, and as of 7 AM today, so far only 10,841 tickets out of the million available have been sold. I haven't seen them advertising the raffle on tv too frequently yet, and I guess more people will buy when they do their Sunday shopping, but it seems like this one's going to take a while sell. Most likely won't be sold out by Thanksgiving

I do not want to advertise I won big money. I watch my back when I cash a measly 50 cent winning pick 3 win.
There has been an awful lot of robberies and shootings in my area. I would hate to have to hurt someone protecting myself. The mugger might sue me.

Money for Lottery

VA Drawing, so how about this.
Thanks for clarifying this for me, I was beginning to think Virgina Lottery needs to be sued for false advertising.

VA Drawing, so how about this.
Maybe I am the only one who is having a problem with the drawings being pre record days in advance. My concern is suppose your method of working the numbers out depend upon a specific day or date, if the draw is not on that specific date it throws your workout off. Also dont VA advertise live drawing , so is'nt this false advertising? Then this also raise another issue, I am sure the days draws is kept safely away, but nevertheless the same human error that caused the wrong draw to be aired, can ...

What is up with these Tx scratch off games...
I've seen it happen all the time where they start selling a game in PA before the advertised on-sale date. It's really nothing out of the ordinary. They really should wait to announce any big winners though.
