Pa. clerk stole $48K in lottery tickets
Feel free to correct this if I am misunderstanding.
The Store buys the tickets from the Lottery. THe lottery gets its money upfront. SO this Theft is not really Lottery related (in so much as the Lottery is making the charges against this person), but rather the store is getting her for theft? So she'll do three months probation and plop one dollar down on a QP for PB and win! Only to have her story told in the form of poor me to rich me saga....
I am not surprised at this type of behavio ...

Pa. clerk stole $48K in lottery tickets
I guess some people just don't learn the lesson that CRIME DOES NOT PAY'. However, I want to know why it took the business owner so long to report this theft--someone should have caught her sooner if they had surveillance tapes running everyday.

Pa. clerk stole $48K in lottery tickets
A woman faces a preliminary hearing on charges she stole $48,000 worth of instant-win Pennsylvania lottery tickets from the convenience store where she worked.
Online court records do not list an attorney for 39-year-old Diane Justi, of Freedom.
Police in Conway say Justi stole the tickets while working at the Conway Superette between April and September.
Police say one of the store's owners alerted them to the thefts. Police say store surveillance tapes clearly showed Justi stealing th ...

Police arrest four in Chicago lottery ticket scam
Police arrested two men and two women earlier this week who allegedly ran a lottery ticket scam that targeted elderly Hispanic victims.
The four worked as a team and typically sought out elderly Hispanic victims at stores and on the street, according to a release from the Chicago Police.
The suspects would approach a victim two at a time and explain they were illegal immigrants and had a winning lottery ticket of more than one million dollars. They would then offer to share the winnings if ...

Victim of stolen Texas lottery ticket says he knows how to get money back
Why has Willis not filed a police report for stolen property against the guy? Then it becomes a matter of police investigation for grand theft.
An unsigned ticket is still your property when it is your possession even though he had the clerk scan it. When you go to the clerk and hand the clerk cash for a purchase you expect your change back.

Lottery hoax causes riot at Ohio coat store
This is VERY frightening, unfunny, and unentertaining! It is a very expensive theft to Burlington Coat Factory! It will also be very expensive to clean up after several of the people purposely stepped on and damaged very valuable coats, etc. that were strewn in their path, rather than picking up the item they personally dropped (or the person nearby) to keep it from destruction/damage.
Consequently, I wonder if this purposely mass theft and vandalization will cause several employees to be la ...

Connecticut lottery players' prize claim period cut in half
Hey, why not make it a week to claim prize money and steal even more money?
The good news would be if enough people stopped playing to make up for the state's theft.

Scientific Games sued a second time by Gameologist
They need to win this lawsuit against Scientific games. It was clearly theft of intellectual property. I don't know why big companies think they can just steam roll over smaller ones. There is enough money for all. Seems like Scientific Games is very greedy, corrupt and manipulative and will stop at nothing to win those contracts.
