Florida Lottery won't pay $500,000 winner, called 'misprint'
A Florida couple says they have a winning lottery ticket and they want their money, but the the Florida Lottery Commission isn't paying.
Ocala resident Joe Curcio thought he hit the jackpot on a scratch-off ticket that shows a prize of $500,000.
When he tried to claim his prize he received nothing at the lottery office.
Curcio said he bought a legitimate lottery ticket at the Turnpike rest area at Fort Drum.
The state said the ticket had a misprint on it.

The Florida Lottery announced Friday the $1 million top prize for the Million Dollar Monopoly scratch-off game was claimed by Myrna Fonda, 90, of Seffner.

Sex offender wins $14 million Florida Lotto jackpot
Life has taken a startling turn for Edward R. Cowal.
Florida lottery officials announced Monday that Cowal, who is a state registered sex offender, was the sole winner of the $14 million lottery drawing from Jan. 13.
Cowal, whose name is on an eight-page record from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, elected to take a lump sum settlement of nearly $8 million before taxes. He purchased the ticket at the Cumberland Farms Store in Jensen Beach.

Mother of 4 among Florida Lottery raffle winners
The Florida Lottery raffled of 10 tickets worth $1 million Monday as part of their Holiday Millionaire Raffle.
Lottery computers picked 130 winning numbers from the 1.25 million tickets for $20 each sold in its first-ever raffle.
Twenty tickets are worth $100,000 and holders of the other 100 tickets can claim $10,000.
