Michigan residents can start dreaming of potential purchases next week when they get another chance to try their luck at one of Michigan's most expensive lottery games. Residents can fork over $50 for one of 250,000 tickets the Michigan Lottery will begin selling at 6 a.m. Monday for its second Super Raffle. South Dakota adds new raffle game
The first-ever state lottery raffle will be held later this year to mark the 20th anniversary of legalized lottery games in South Dakota. Lottery Advertising and Public Relations Director Mike Mueller says 100,000 of the $10 tickets will go on sale September 30th. Texas Lottery may consider offering raffle
The chairman of the Texas Lottery Commission has asked the state attorney general to study whether it would be legal to add a raffle to its array of games. Raffles offer better odds of winning than other kinds of games because a limited number of tickets are sold and there can be no duplicate winners. Oklahoma Lottery to add Hot Lotto, TV show
The Oklahoma Lottery plans to start a television game show and offer an additional multi-state game in hopes of improving lower-than-expected revenues. The new television game show would be filmed in Oklahoma City and begin airing in October.
