RTE was forced to rectify a huge mistake on air, after broadcasting the wrong numbers for two draws, including the main Lotto results. Many people from Northern Ireland also play the Republic's lottery, as well as the British National Lottery, to increase their chances of instant riches. Lotto head ...

Starting Aug. 15 the Massachusetts Lottery will only show video replays of its in-state lottery drawings on its Web site, shifting away from the television format that players in Massachusetts have grown accustomed to since the 1970s. Some not pleased with N.J. Lottery Internet drawing broadcast
But move to Web might eventually broaden the number of TV stations to carry live draws It doesn't matter what changes: any time a change occurs at the lottery, there are some who won't like it. Genevieve Tappan has played the New Jersey Lottery for more than 40 years, but hasn't bought a ticket since Saturday, when she realized the nightly drawings were no longer being televised. I like to see them pull it so they don't have the chance to switch it, said Tappan, 80, of East Orange. Old ...

Simon Cowell still buys lottery tickets
Simon Cowell says that he still plays the National Lottery in spite of his reported 200 million (US$330 million) fortune. The X Factor' and Syco boss made the claims after he entered the Sunday Times' annual music millionaires' top ten list for the first time this year. I still buy lottery tickets. I still play, said the music mogul, but then added slightly dubiously, but I tick the box that says no publicity so no one would know. Generally, there is no box to be ticked unless the amo ...

Florida Lottery winner featured on TV show
Appeared on 'The Lottery Changed My Life' Thursday Richard Lustig faced a stack of medical bills after his son was born in 1992. At the same time, his house in South Florida had a leaky roof. Undercover lottery investigation tests store clerks' honesty
If you end up with a winning lottery ticket, you'll end up with the cash... right? A television investigative program recently traveled to various states testing the honesty and integrity of lottery store clerks in correctly informing customers of their winning lottery tickets. What they discovered was a mixed bag: although some clerks correctly identified wins for their customers, many did not. In fact, several attempted to basically steal their customer's winnings by telling them their l ...
