High rate of Tenn. Lottery scholarships are lost by bad grades
There is a high probability that Tennessee college students with lottery funded scholarships will lose them.
A state report found 64% of students who got the scholarships two years ago failed to qualify to keep them.
In translation, roughly almost two out of every three students' did not make the grade.

New Iowa Lottery ad has gambling foes fuming
Ties between collegiate sports and gambling are typically forbidden. So when a new Iowa Lottery commercial featuring the Iowa Fight Song and the Tigerhawk logo began airing Jan. 12, it should have come as no surprise that it caused some heads to turn.

Court dismisses lottery suit, orders man to pay fees
A man who sued the Ohio Lottery Commission, claiming that the lottery's promise of billions of dollars for public schools was false, not only won't get the $12 billion he sued for, but also will have to pay the lottery commission's legal fees.
