Multi-state lottery game comes to Arkansas
After a false start, Decades of Dollars finally lands in fourth state

In January, a new multi-state lottery game called Decades for Dollars was introduced, and was intended to be offered in the state of Arkansas, but legislative obstacles stopped the plan dead in its tracks at the time.
Now those issues have been cleared, and Decades of Dollars has landed in the state three months after the game's first drawing.

Puerto Rico turns store receipts into lottery tickets
Don't throw out that lunch receipt: It could be worth $1,000.
That's the idea behind a campaign to force Puerto Rico's many tiny markets, food stalls and other mom-and-pop businesses to collect sales tax.
Puerto Rico's Treasury Department is transforming receipts into lottery tickets, printing contest numbers on each receipt and holding weekly drawings for cash prizes ranging from $100 to $1,000. It also plans to have a monthly drawing for a car.

Gambling opponents see trouble with new Florida Lottery instant rewards game
A new Florida Lottery game offers payouts of up to $3 million and instant rewards a combination that has gambling opponents worried.

New Tennessee lottery game debuts tonight
The latest game from the Tennessee Lottery begins tonight, with the first drawing of Tennessee Cash.
In the game, players select any five numbers from a field of 1 to 35, and one Cash Ball number from a field of 1 to 5. Players can also choose a Quick Pick, which has the computer assign random numbers to the ticket.
Players win if they match any of 8 winning combinations.
Tennessee Cash replaces the retired Pick 5 game, which saw its last drawing on Oct. 1.
Tickets cost $1 per play.

Tickets on sale for Oregon Lottery's Thanksgiving Raffle
The Oregon Lottery is doubling the stakes for this year's Thanksgiving Raffle.
There will be two $1 million prize winners when the numbers are drawn Nov. 23 at the state lottery office in Salem. There will also be 20 people who win $20,000 prizes and 2,000 winners who claim $100 prizes.
Tickets for the raffle cost $10 each, and went on sale Sunday, Sept. 26.
It's the second Thanksgiving Raffle in Oregon Lottery's history.

New lottery game marks Kansas' 150th birthday
The state's anti-gambling founders probably wouldn't have approved, but Kansas unveiled a new lottery game Friday to get a jump on celebrating its 150th birthday.

First Arkansas Lottery raffle on sale Wednesday

The Arkansas Lottery is rolling out its latest game Wednesday, Million Dollar Raffle, which will award two grand prizes of $1 million each.
The drawing date for Arkansas' first-ever raffle is anticipated to be September 9, 2010, or after all tickets have been sold, whichever occurs last.
A limit of 500,000 tickets will be made available for the raffle. Tickets cost $10 each. Raffle tickets cannot be canceled once they are purchased.

N.H. Lottery delays online game amid controversy
The state Lottery Commission has pulled back its planned July 1 launch of new games that add an Internet element to scratch ticket gambling.

Gamblers will be able to buy lottery tickets in New Hampshire next week to play online a move seen by some as an expansion of the kind of gambling that state lawmakers oppose.
