Caesars casino is suing the winner of a $315 million lottery jackpot, claiming he bounced checks worth $1.5 million trying to cover gambling losses. S.C. lottery sales top $1 billion mark for first time
South Carolina lottery sales for this fiscal year have topped $1 billion for the first time. The milestone was reached Tuesday with seven more weeks before the 2006 fiscal year ends, according to lottery officials. Kentucky Lottery hits record sales in third quarter
The Kentucky Lottery Corp. earned net income of $56.2 million on a record $198.5 million in sales during its third quarter of fiscal 2006. Sales were driven by a record-breaking $365 million Powerball jackpot in February, according to a news release.
