N.J. Lottery breaks weekly sales record
The New Jersey Lottery today announced that it had a record-breaking week for instant-ticket sales at the end of 2006. Lottery officials said $28,563,561 worth of 'scratch-off' tickets were sold from December 21-27.
The previous record for one week of sales was $26.9 million December 22 thorugh 28, 2005. Total lottery sales for fiscal 2006 was also a record $2.4 billion.

10 players will win $1 million each on New Year's Day
At 10:33 pm Thursday night the last of the 1.25 million Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets was sold. Players who purchased tickets will need to hold on to them for the New Year's Day drawing to see who will become the Florida Lottery's first 10 millionaires in 2007.

Florida Lottery raffle tickets almost sold out
Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets could be sold out by the end of this week based on the current rate of sales, the Florida Lottery reports.
As of 1 p.m. Tuesday approximately 956,000 of the tickets had been purchased statewide - meaning almost 77 percent of the tickets sold in just eight days.
