Oregon Lottery signs 7-year contract with GTECH
A Rhode Island lottery technology firm has inked a seven-year extension with the state of Oregon, which will include upgraded systems and ongoing services.
GTECH Corp. of Providence reports it has signed a new long-term contract with the Oregon State Lottery for a new online and instant-ticket lottery system, terminals and ongoing services. The seven-year contract is set to start in September 2008, and has options to renew for up to three years.

N.C. lottery tickets sold in vending machines
Like chips and soda, now you can buy North Carolina scratch-off lottery tickets from vending machines.
The lottery began installing 500 machines statewide last week. The vending machines sell 24 games costing $1 to $10 each.
Many will go into supermarkets including Food Lion and Lowes Foods, said Alice Garland, lottery deputy executive director. Some will land in convenience stores with high ticket sales to free up clerks.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has hired outside auditors and is working with the printer, as it investigates a complaint that winning cards on two editions of a Super Bingo game could be identified without scratching them, a spokesperson has confirmed.
