Not intending to discourage anyone here but with astronomical odds of 146+ million and 175+ millions or ~14 million for match 6/49 lotto, one has to admit that in all likeliness the dream is pretty much that...just a dream..I beleive that most people focus too much on jackpot sizes and of course everyone wants to win but have you asked yourself what the odds really mean...what is 1 in 100 million?...heck hitting p3 is pretty damn difficult....

I have seen that certain members come and post here everyday putting in a major amount of time in discussing lotto (myself too sometimes) and although i certainly wish every single one of you the best of luck but after a while i think that this jackpot stuff should not be taken this seriously timewise...also spending $20 or $100 per drawing is not ideal...i came here on LP on october 2007, i was drawn into these games by the august 07 powerball rush..so of course i became interested in finding ways to win these games etc..etc...but after 6 months of trying different strategies( I tried ~every single method), reading so many posts here and also hearing so many stories like (guy in georgia wins $270 mill with $2) i have come to a conclusion that it's just the stroke of luck...no matter what wheels, software, QP or not....$1 per drawing is my new game plan...if I or anyone here is destined to win it $1 is enough to do it....i'm gonna let my dollar ride the luck from now on...goodbye wheels and magic formulas...i'm also cutting down on my LP cruise time..it's a wonderful site but luck is the main factor in every single prediction postSee Ya!

I'm done playing the game untill I see some compensation! It's all luck! LUCK! LUCK! LUCK! all luck! Even if your psychic, had great intuition, sixth sense and etc., you won't win the jackpot. That's what I'm been trying to say. There's like this mental block that I can't get around or anyone else. Faith? I don't understand that either!

Benmas,

I understand EXACTLY what you're saying there, Bro.

I find the games more enjoyable win I lose 1 or 2 dollars rather than $25, so that's what I do now.

True, but we can still try to get prize ratio more than 100%,Just try strategy below at my signature.

A recent discovery of mine of how to get most possible 3 winning numbers in 14 numbers,

making pick6 lottery as a pick5 lottery by deleting one positions numbers in all past 300 history,in which way turns 649 lottery as 630 lottery while still having all 6 winning numbers.

I agree with you on some points, but I'm not going to quit playing and I'm not going to go around thinking that I will never win. Those type of thoughts are negative and counteractive in my goal. I never play $20 on Powerball. The most I have spent at one time was around $10 maybe $15 but that isn't the norm. On average, I buy between $2 or $5 worth of tickets.

I know someone at a convenience store I frequent that won a $77,000 jackpot buying one ticket.  That's all it takes to win, one ticket.  And it was a quickpick.  She had never played the game, and maybe that was one reason she wasn't being so self-negative.

And odds? Odds are only good for discussion purposes with another individual.  You can never escape the fact that even if the odds were a billion to one, someone is going to beat them and win the jackpot !  These jackpots are all guaranteed to have winners.  And so the heck with the odds.  The winner can be you as well as anyone else.

As to luck.  Everyone "blames" luck.  But no one can define luck.  If there is "bad luck" then there is "good luck".  And there is no reason any of us can't have the latter just as easily as the former.

In the meantime, it's good entertainment, as long as you don't go crazy with it.

Life is short.  So PAY ATTENTION  !

But for every winner, no matter how big the JP, there are millions losing. Odds are the reality my friend. It's too easy to gloss over it. 146 mil. is a lot of mills....lol

I wrack my brain figuring out the p-3 with only a thousand to one.

I've always thought of it as getting the most out of my lottery buck. The odds of matching the winning Powerball numbers are exactly the same whether we play $20 worth of QPs or if we use one of the 57 wheels right here on LP that cost under $20. Since the jackpot win expectations are the same, adding secondary prize win guarantees can only enhance the bet.

"I'm not going to quit playing and I'm not going to go around thinking that I will never win."

There are people that really expect to win and quit playing because of their bad luck or "the lottery is cheating". I don't know if they ever looked at the odds or just believe they are that lucky, but if I thought that I couldn't win, I would never buy a ticket.
