Today I was watching a show that was selling some books and a DVD that showed people how to make money on foreclosures.  The host  showed a picture of a new $200K home that a contractor build on speculation and couldn't pay the real estate taxes so the county sold it at a foreclosure auction for $500 free and clear of any other obligations.

And then he said "You know I couldn't say that on national TV if it wasn't true".  He expected his viewers to believe they could buy a brand new $200K home for less than a month's rent.
