I was just reading a post from '06 in the News forum, where U.S. politicians spoke of online betting games as not belonging in U.S. living rooms and being harmful to U.S. families. I think with the old and nasty administration ways about to (potentially)drastically change, people like you and I have better odds at being heard and understood by the lawmakers who are supposed to work for us. I DEFINITELY say they should stop trying to end online gaming and in fact they should reverse and repeal whatever damages the past administrations have done. I am glad to hear that quite a few companies still exist. Pokerstars as I understand it, just recently processed their 120 millionth bet, and I hear that even the NFL (football) supports them.

I'm certainly interested, I am in the research stage right now. My understanding (anyone correct me as needed) is that years ago, the lawmakers and crazy administrations messed things up and wanted online number games basically forbidden. It scared a lot of companies into shutting down and some big internet sites quit advertising for them. Some of them however, stood up for what they thought was right. After all, the companies are not even U.S. companies, nor are they here in the U.S. Then, from what I understand, one of the Bush administrations started what they call the federal wire act and a lot of the companies had to stop dealing with banks. The companies continued, but I do not know what the current situation is. That is what I am trying to find out, as well as the fact that the new lawmakers coming in have a rotten mess to straighten up as soon as possible. But anyway, I am interested and I have a feeling many of us (millions of us) are. It's just one of those things that the old government wanted to forbid things from your private home. I do hope things change soon after this current dictatorship-like government ends this month.

CLAIMER: I must note that this thread is intended merely as a discussion and I cannot state what anyone is allowed or forbidden to do. That is in fact one of my further opinions, that our nation is in a total mess as each of us tries to sort out the heads and tails out. (but I am glad for Mass. I just need to research what my own state wants to forbid me to do, etc. ) gl

I have been using online gambling for years here in Norway. The national lottery company got online delivery systems for all kinds of betting and lotteries. I mainly use it for the Saturday Lotto 7/34, Viking Lotto 6/48 and KENO. Can be totally recommeded. You got easy control of how much you spend and how much you win. Money won goes into your account within a few hours. If you win small amounts the money goes into an account at the lottery company which you can use when you want to play. If you win a large amount, the money goes into your normal bank account. You can move money from the lottery company account to your normal bank account whenever needed. No longer any need to go down to the lottery dealer down at the corner in rain, snow and freezing temperatures.

well you're not alone, just keep in mind that my idea of what lottery enthusiasts ought to do is write your state and federal representatives, or email them. Even getting one letter or email from someone who does play lotteries is better than none. There is absolutely no good reason why you should have to spend lots of money and time just to get to a state so you can also enjoy playing lotteries that millions upon hundreds of millions of the rest of us can enjoy and consider it an everyday integral part of us, other than the old federal (and state) inconsiderate ways that managed to make nothing but a disaster .

Anyways i don't care much if the USA does not legalize gambling, i care that Europe, England, Russia, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America legalize it..Sorry to say it but the USA acts sometimes as sadistic.. And it makes me mad, because whatever the USA does the rest of the world follow to copy and they are not independent..
