In Michigan, there's a relatively new $1 scratcher called quick 50s.  It's a typical get 3 out of 6 matching cash amounts and win the prize for it.   The grand prize is only 500 dollars, but if you get even one 50, you get 50 dollars.  The kicker is that there are over 18000 50 dollar prizes and there are over 11000 michigan lottery retailers.  There's also a similar amount of 20s.  This means there is on average, 1-2 50s per store.  I haven't had much luck with it (aside from a few 1 or 2 dollar prizes), but since I consider 50 bucks a nice sum of money to win, I do like the game.  Maybe this is just a newbie trap, but since only about 50% of revenue go back to the players, it would seem the tickets with the smaller prizes have better odds of getting something other than 1 or 2 dollar prizes.

The "Hit $50"  or in your case "Quick 50s" isn't really a trap...  But then again it's not the best game out there.  I believe Tennessee has a $1 or $2 game where the top prize is either $50 or $100...  I'm waiting for a $10 game called hit $1000.  That would be interesting...  Thousands of $1,000 prizes...  That might be fun.  But I really don't think players would respoind.  I know SC and FL have $10 tickets where they award multiple $20,000 winners.  The odds aren't bad and payouts are better than 70%.

That's what they should have all along.  They used to have these one dollar pulltabs at bars and bowling allies where the top prizes ranged between 100 and 300 dollars.  Just recently (by recently, I mean about a week ago), they changed them to prizes of 1000, meaning chances are you are not going to get the top prize. 

The quick 50s may not be the best games, but for one dollar Michigan instant games, they really aren't that bad, and they're pretty fun too.  They also have a "500s fury" for 2 bucks where you can win 500 dollars just by getting a 500 as a winning number (over 1200 500 dollar prizes and a 10000 top prize).  I though I won 500 because it showed up in the prize amount, but it turns out it has to be one of "YOUR NUMBERS", not prizes below those numbers.
