I was trying to find out how many combinations could be made with these ......and I came up with 16 ......but I don't know how I did it.

First, do you think it's correct .....and ...... is there an easy method to repeat a pattern like this?

      1 1 1 1

    2 2 2 2

1222

1122

1112

1111

2222

2111

2211

2221

2112

1221

1212

2121

2212

1121

2122

1211

Thanks very much diamondpalace for your fast reply.

I knew that there were 16 .......but was trying to find and easy way to find what those permutations are.

I think that I pulled a muscle trying to come up with those last 4 permutations.  LOL

Using the program Maybells QuikWheel, I picked pick4 game format and enter 1 and 2 and it prints out:

        1: 1111
        2: 1112
        3: 1121
        4: 1122
        5: 1211
        6: 1212
        7: 1221
        8: 1222
        9: 2111
        10: 2112
        11: 2121
        12: 2122
        13: 2211
        14: 2212
        15: 2221
        16: 2222

It prints complete wheels for pick3, pick4, pick5 and pick6 games using any amount of numbers.  The program is a leftover from the old Maybelle lottery website.   BodP maintain a copy of it at his Lotto-Logix website.
