When will Arizona win POWERBALL?  I looked at multiple websites and can not find any history on winners in Arizona?  Is Powerball new to Arizona?  If so, how long and why don't we ever win?  I have an office pool going and really started researching lottery "stuff" and can't seem to come up with anything in Arizona.  Granted...we win a lot from Pick 3/5, Cash 4 and scratchers but do I really need to consider moving to another state?  Just Kidding!

There have been 9 winning Powerball tickets sold in Arizona.The most recent was Barry & Barbara Salzman from Las Vegas,Nevada in 2007.A couple of months before that the Arizona 9 shared a Powerball jackpot.

Where did you find those stats?  Can you include a link?  I would love to share that w/ the 40 people I have an office pool with.  Thanks!

My sister lives in AZ and dosent like the lottery there..She use to live in Michigan and did well there playing the Michigan lottery.....

Amen!  Seriously...I've been in Arizona for almost 6 years and I have dabbled around the lottery and scratchers or the local casinos but I decided to put together an office pool and we have been playing for 5 weeks now and we have won between $13 and $156 dollars.  I usually collect around $200-$250 in the pool and apply all winnings towards that as well...doesn't seem like much but it's exciting to think about winning but considering the odds and the return?  I started reading a lot more about the lottery because I was really interested in how it all works...picking your own numbers, playing the same cards, QP's, office pools, etc.  It seemed that we were following the trends until I realized that Arizona is not on the Powerball map (amongst the BIG winners that participate around the country).  I even try to buy tickets at different places and times since I am the one that coordinates it all and still...no big JACKPOT!  :)  I am hopeful and it's always a lot of fun and there are a lot of people in my office that think it's fun too.  I hope SOMEONE IN ARIZONA WINS TONIGHT!  Especially us!  :)

I live in Iowa and there have only been 6 Powerball jackpot winners here.I'm kind of hoping that since Powerball moved from Iowa to Florida the jackpot might land in Iowa again.It hasn't hit Iowa since 2006.Its way past due.

I think Arizona is OVER DUE!!!!  If Iowa wins tonight...I really will be considering a move...JUST KIDDING!!!

I've been living in Arizona for the past 12 years, and I've been playing the Arizona lotteries for about the last 5 years.  One thing that you should realize is that all of the Arizona state lotteries are played using computer generated random number generators (RNG's).  Arizona uses RNG's because it's cheaper than using the actual balls (maintanance is a lot cheaper).  And yes, I do believe that Arizona is long overdue to win the PowerBall Lottery.

The best that I ever did was to get 5 out of 6 numbers in the Arizona Pick 6 Lottery.  If I had gotten that 6th number, I would have won $11.1 million, and I would have taken the 25 year annuity, and I would be officially retired.  ;-)  As it is, I won $2,000.00.  And I still play, hoping for that big win.

Umm, you do know the odds are a bit steep, right? Whether there was never a PB winner in AZ or there were 3 last year, your odds of winning are always based on the game odds and how many tickets you buy.

About two years ago I sent money to my sister out in AZ and played the cash 5..I had four numbers for 500.00..When she cashed the ticket she told me the machine played the song"I'm in the money"..I gave her 100.00 of my winnings..

Well, that gives me some hope!  I saw that someone won $200,000.00 somewhere in AZ.  I started another pool ($1) buy in's for Arizona ONLY lotteries.  Maybe the payout isn't as extrordinary as Powerball, but I'll take $100's or $1,000's (I like the sound of millions too)...I'm not greedy...just want a little piece of the pie!  HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
