I am sorry for the outburst on a different topic. I just couldn't stand being called a nerd. I hate being called a nerd. I really don't have all the nerdy hobbies. And I play video games about 3~4 hours a week or less. I spend most of the time working as an extra on TV and films. I don't have much time for hobbies. I regularly work out but I am taking a break from weight lifting because my left wrist was busted. (I still do cardio, though.)
I've been going through a lot of things and my mind was like a pressure cooker. And someone pushed my button. :( Please don't do that. Please don't.
OK, now a lottery-related topic. When I found that the winner of $39 mil Super Lotto winner has three jobs and work for 60 hours a week, I believed that he deserves to win. But I thought twice. Hey, there are at least half a million lottery player who have three jobs! And I bet hundreds of thousands of lottery players work 60 hours a week! And I bet there are at least a thousand lottery players who have cancer, terminal or not! Some of the players will be grieving parents who lost their child. A whole bunch of players are hardcore ex-cons!
It's somewhat depressing to know that it's all about luck. Well, at least there are some mathematical research that confirms the existence of luck and coincidence. Spiritualists will say there's no such thing as luck and coincidence. But even a quick glance of a wikipedia entry will tell you that there are indeed coincidences, even really uncanny ones.
I am telling you again. I was never a lottery player until mid 2005. And I never chose my own number until Jan 2007. Until then, I really didn't care about lottery itself. To me it was just a story of a faraway land.
Until I saw the six numbers in my dream in January 2007, and I saw another set of six numbers in Oct 2008.
And I came to realize that I am no less superstitious than any random people around me. And the story of Ihsan Khan still haunts me. He waited for ten years to win..what...$50 millions? He saw six numbers in his dream and he started playing Powerball. Will the same thing happen to me? I hope. But I also hope it happens much sooner.
If I win a big one, I won't announce that I am a winner. Probably I won't even make a goodbye post in here. I will be claiming the prize as a trust with my family members as the beneficiaries. If anyone asks me how I became rich, I'd say some rich uncle died and I was written in his Will. Or I'd say I worked my ass off for last ten years. Yeah, my life has been unlucky for last ten years.
