A few years ago, when gas was still cheap, I travled to Oregon three times (6 hours one way) to purchase Powerball tickets. Now, I only purchase ticket (Mega Millions) in my town because gas price is going up again. However, today was an exception. I drove from Hayward, California, to Foster City which is 20 minutes; I paid $4 toll fee on San Mateo Bridge also. I traveled to Foster City for leisure and peace time. I took this opportunity to purchase $5 of Mega Millions. I hope new location brings good luck. After I got my lottery ticket, I looked at the store's address number; it read 999C. I wondered if it was good sign.

Yeah I travel to the GA border when the Mega Millions jackpot gets high. A long time ago about 10 years or more I traveld to Kentucky when that was the closest state for Powerball tickets when the jackpot got up to $250 million the first time......

Not really. There are 2 spots (stores) basically right down the street. With gas proces they way they are, I could probably even walk there.

Don't know if this counts, but once in one day, I bought tickets in Idaho and Colorado and I live in Louisiana. I was on a trip for business to Idaho and I bought tickets at a convenience store near my hotel, then on the way I home I had a layover in Denver, and tickets are sold in the airport, so I bought some Colorado tickets too. Then after getting home, bought some Louisiana Lottery tickets. Didn't get any winners though. Prisoner Six

NOOOOO! It would take me almost an hour on the expressway(crawlway) to get to Indiana to buy PB tickets. I don't care how high the jackpot is ......the drive or should I say crawl there isn't worth it. As for Mega or IL games I buy tickets at the gas station 1 1/2 blocks away. I do know someone who always drives distances in IL as well as Indiana to buy tickets because someone convinced him that only tickets from "nice" areas win.

I sometimes drive 45 minutes to Pensacola to play Florida... However, I don't make the trip often. I don't mind the short drive. Typically, I use that as an excuse to get away for a little bit. How are you going to win if you don't play?

When I went to my nephew's graduation in May we had a road trip from NJ to NC so I bought tickets in DE, NC, MD, VA, and NJ - it hasn't changed my results though....still no jackpot win. When Powerball gets up high enough, I'll make a run to the TX/LA border - about a 2.5 hour drive- and buy tickets for multiple drawings. Sometimes while I'm there I'll stop at the casinos. Occasionally my brother will make the run. He doesn't like to drive though, so if he goes alone, won't pick up tickets for anybody since no one would help him drive (extened exposure to him can be ^&!! on your nerves). ________________________ Playing together to make a splash in the pool of lottery winners. It's just a matter of time.

Oh yes many times to buy Power Ball tickets. Would drive from Dallas to Shreveport. Often slept in the rest area until the terminals came online. Sometimes went to the casinos. Always had a good time. Loved travelling alone most of the time. Sometimes took the kids and sometimes one of my road-dogs. Liked going alone because I controlled the cd player. Have not made the trip to buy tickets anymore. Only make trips to the casinos when schedule and budget allows. If I want to play Power Ball now I'll drive to Oklahoma. I was told that it is closer to Dallas than Shreveport. AHHHHH GOOOOOD TIMES!!!!!!
