SACRAMENTO – A part-time social worker from Garden Grove now has alittle extra cash to pad her yearly paycheck with, as one of her PaydayScratchers tickets netted the top prize of $750,000.
The woman, who requested anonymity, bought $20 worth of Scratchers ticketson her lunch break and then proceeded to forget about them. It wasn’t until7:30 in the evening that she discovered them in her purse and startedscratching them while watching TV. Her first scratch? A $750,000 win. “I wasshocked and in complete disbelief, “she said. “At that point I felt like Ididn’t even need to scratch the other tickets.”
Her immediate plans to celebrate her big win include purchasing a new carand an iPod for herself, and eventually making her mother’s dream of one daytaking a trip to Pariscome true.
