I'm surprised that nobody here is making a big deal out of the 09/09/09 date, tomorrow.  But then again, I didn't think about it until I ran across http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090908/sc_livescience/why090909issospecial .

0-9 is a good pair. 9 and 0 are both key numbers. Plug and play!

I'm betting 9-9-9 is going to sell out in a lot of states.

The hoosier lottery pick 3 for 9-8-09 was 0-9-0. Its like they are teasing us, throwing it in our faces (the hoosier lottery is rigged IMO).

I Agree! and 911 will probably be sold out in a few states in the next couple of days too.

I don't think the numbers that are drawn are tied to the date in any way. If it were, wouldn't all of the Pick 3's around the country all come up with the same numbers all of the time?

Or, in the case of this special date - how would the numbers know about it being a special date as compared to any other date?

I don't think the Hoosier Lottery is rigged anymore. I used to think that. They do have RNG draws but according to the email that I got from them, the numbers spin like a slot machine and the operator clicks a button for each number. I am not sure I would call that totally random though.

I don't think the lottery drawing machines or the random number generators the lotteries use think about which date it is.

                  Hi mej023,

Thanks for the laughter. I'm confined to my bed today while taking a month long holiday so I'm on here just long enough to contribute my two cents. (Especially since I have a 999 attached to my lp handle. I feel I gotta say something today:)-

What you said about numbers and dates, I think that was my attitude too as recently as a few months back. But I have since changed my mind.

If your theory is true that numbers are not tied to the date in any way, it makes it hard to explain all the hits that showed in a lot of states based on these calendar-based workouts on one particular day: http://www.lotterypost.com/blogentry/32487/viewcomments

There were a lot of hits that day from the three "calendars" in the two or three workouts that were posted, and that was with many states in the West not yet reporting. Of course it could have all been a co-incidence, but with the exception of the Pick 4 numbers which were a test, I find my Pick 3 calendar based workouts often pan out. Sometimes they get "off track" and are a day off, as is the case with my Julian Calendar cheatsheet for the last few days--the numbers are showing one day later than predicted in the two states I track -- but they are otherwise pretty consistent in identifying all state hits in "susceptible" east coast states, like Georgia, NY, SC, NJ, NC, and maybe others not yet tracked.

As to all numbers falling on the same date if numbers are tied to the calendar, that would be like saying every Virgo born on 9/9 at 9:19 a.m. would have the exact same characteristics. Of course, they don't. States are on different coordinates, different altitudes, different time zones which is why you have to allot for those differences. That is why you have to create lottery systems around the calendar dates for the most success. The numbers never fall far away from the date so that makes it easy.  I've got about 9 such calendar systems, no punt intented, so that if one doesn't work for a particular state, another one might.

Another beauty of using calendar based workouts is that you can "set it and forget it", ie do your calculations in advance and take the month off from predictions if you like. And that in itself is quite attractive.

Now, I have to admit that 9/9/9 is a tricky one. It is tricky not because of the date but b/c of the attention it is receiving. I would venture to guess that sometimes people don't post their "real" predictions on some dates because when you stack a number, it forces those state lottery drawings that are "less than authentic", to have to inject some special hanky panky to alter the results. That's why with all this attn, I'll just pass on putting even .50 on that number today. Now, NC sometimes will use a date a day in advance so I didn't hesitate to play those 9s last night--just in case.

Like any system, sometimes the calendar based one works and sometimes it doesn't, but with the exception of my new doubles system, I now use it exclusively since it flat out works for me. I do not know how to wheel or use spreadsheets or lottery software very well. Calendars allow you to come up with numbers by simply adding digits to the date, and simplicity, at least for me, has always paid dividents.

                  So ... let me say

Happy Happy 999 Day to you and the entire LP family.

There have indeed been drawings where the date or something tied to the date has hit, that's why the lotteries put a ceiling on those payoffs and stop booking action on the numbers at a certain point.

Before state lotteries were legal (this time around) bookies used to send runners to the horse races to watch the tote board and try to keep the last three dollar digits of the total mutuel handle off of 776 on July 4th. 476 is also popular, and 1776 in Pick 4.

888, and 8888 are two more....8 is the propserity number, triple 8 is prosperity times three, and 8888, or 8-8-88 is the day the lights came on in Wrigley Field, Chicago for the first time.

(Trivia tidbit, that game was a rain out - "Even God doesn't want the Cubs playing night games"- heard on Sports radio.

So far it looks like not a single occurance of 999 or 9999 has ocurred ... in the Florida Lottery today (9/9/09) there wasn't even a single 9 in either midday or evening Play 4 or Cash 3. Today was a very profitable day for lotteries.

                            Now that it didn't happen on 09/09/09 and shouldn't be shut off, it might be a good play for the next three days;

                            999

                            909

                            0909
