Some good answers born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I run drugs for the cartel. I am employed by murder inc. I am a gun runner. I sell gov't secrets to foriegn nations. I am an upper echelon federal employee.  They should believe that one with no doubt. haha funny , hope you're joking, except 1st one, the rest of them will bring lots of jealousy and resentment, and if they think something's fishy, may report you to gov. you may scare them away, or they'll bring the law or the true criminal types to target you | | |

I still don't understand how asking someone what they do for a living is getting too personal. That is a very common question. That is like telling someone they are getting too personal for asking you what your name is. | | |

How would you explain it to your wife when she does not think playing lottery is right? Of course telling other family is out of the question. Just deposit the check, pay the debts and don't tell her? That way when when I take her out to dinner or get her flowers, she will think it means more if we are poor than if we have excess money. That will be what I will tell the lottery office when I tell them that I want to remain anonymous. | | |

I would tell them that it was a gift from Lord God Almighty. If they are still pushy after that answer, I would tell them that both my father and stepfather have passed away within 5 years and that I am an only child and that my stepfather had no children of his own. | | |

Let's say you won a huge jackpot and moved somewhere were no one knew you. What story would you tell to people if they asked how you about your income? Would you tell them you won the lottery or come up with something else. One could offer the explanation that it was from earnings made over a career as an exotic dancer for bachelorette parties; then immediately put on Haddaway's "What is Love?" and start gyrating... I'd tell them I got a huge advance on my latest book - The Bacon and Donut Diet, subtitled - Lard is Your Friend. Then I would fall to the ground and start flopping around like a fish out of water. I feel this would substantially limit further intrusive questions. . I will not comply. I will never submit.
